3 Beauty Trends from New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week may have been a little different this season, but we’re still keeping an eye on the virtual runways for the latest trends in beauty. Here are three beauty trends we’ve spotted:

Nails

Trend: Press-On Nails

KISS nails at Prabal Gurung.

Press-on nails make it easy to get a flawless and professional nail look even when you can’t make it to the nail salon. Celebrity nail artists added a personal touch to press on nails at presentations including Prabal Gurung and Rebecca Minkoff.

Prabal Gurung’s Pre-Fall/Fall 2021 collection is the designer’s continued love letter to New York. Pulling inspiration from Prabal Gurung’s Pre-Fall/Fall 2021 collection that showcases a dark and unrelenting romance, celebrity nail artist and KISS Brand Ambassador Gina Edwards created long, couture nails in a deep Bordeaux with KISS Gel Fantasy Nail No Pressure. You can recreate the look with imPRESS Press-On Manicure Malaga Wine as your base.

KISS nails at Rebecca Minkoff.

Rebecca Minkoff’s Spring 2021 collection draws inspiration from the juxtaposition between spring florals and the downtown edge of NYC. “I wanted to bring this yin yang of style to life through a modern and edgy approach to classic nail designs,” says celebrity nail artist and KISS Brand Ambassador Gina Edwards.  You can recreate the look with imPRESS Press-on Manicure in Evanesce and KISS Classy Nails in Be-you-tiful

Makeup

Trend: Bold dramatic eyes

Deck of Scarlet Makeup at Alice + Olivia.

Alice + Olivia presented their Gossip Girl-inspired Fall 2021 collection featuring classic plaids, tweeds, houndstooth, denim, and vegan leather with a virtual runway show. The beauty look featured a bold rock ‘n’ roll smokey eye. Jessi Butterfield created the dramatic makeup look with Deck of Scarlet eye shadow.

Stila makeup at LBV.

Stila Cosmetics partnered with LBV to create a gorgeous Studio 54-inspired look, which you can recreate with Vivid & Vibrant Liquid Eye Shadow in Sapphire and Extreme HUGE Mascara

Hair

Trend: Accessorizing with scarves, hats, and embellishments.

‘60s accesorized style created with R+Co BLEU.

Anna Sui’s inspiration came from ‘60s psychedelic style, escapism, and fantasy. Celebrity hairstylist, hair icon, and co-founder of R+Co, Garren, created a variety of sleek and textured hair looks inspired by ‘60s texture and shine with the R+Co BLEU collection, and accessorized some of the looks with Anna Sui’s pieces.

Accessorized updos at Alice + Olivia.

Hair at Alice + Olivia was glamorously piled high and dotted with crystals and pearls.
