It may not even be Halloween yet, but with a year like 2020, we could all use a little sparkle and joy. With the OPI Shine Bright Collection, OPI is spreading the cheer early this year and we’re ready for it!
The festive new OPI holiday collection features 15 colors, including 3 sparkly glitter hues. The colors range from rich velvety tones of pink, mauve, burgundy, and golden brown to mixed metals in silver and gold. You’ll also find gemstone shades of garnet and ruby, and shimmery colors like a glam champagne and a deep shimmery blue.

The Shine Bright by OPI collection also includes three glitters packed with glass-like glitter for a 3D nail look: a clear base with iridescent glitter, an icy blue jelly base with cellophane glitter, and a dark gray jelly base with cellophane glitter.

To add some sparkly fun to the new holiday colors, OPI is collaborating with Swarovski to bring even more sparkle and shine to the collection. The crystal embellishments come in various shapes and cuts to decorate your manicure.
To celebrate the new OPI holiday collection, we joined OPI for a special Zoom with guests including singer Alaina Castillo, celebrity manicurist Jenny Bui (who is known for creating Cardi B’s blinged-out nail designs), and Swarovski Authorized nail educator Shannon Rooney. We also enjoyed a festive performance from The Young People’s Chorus of New York!
We loved Alaina Castillo’s fun rendition of “Santa Baby!” She also shared that her favorite colors from the new collection are Dressed to the Wines and Naughty or Ice?
Naughty or Ice? and Dressed to the Wines.
We also heard from celebrity nail artist Jenny Bui (whose clients include Cardi B.) who shared some of the nail trends she is seeing right now. When it comes to shape, stiletto and coffin nails are popular. She’s also seeing a lot of marble, colorful nails, and stickers. Of course, she says that bling is always a favorite, as well. Bui is known for her stunning sparkly blinged-out nail creations, including those seen on Cardi B at the Grammys, Met Gala, and more.

After two beautiful nail art tutorials, the event concluded with a holiday (2019) performance from the Young People’s Chorus of NYC. We couldn’t have imagined a better way to get into the holiday spirit!
