Arizona Biltmore’s Director of Spa, Ann Patton, Shares Tips for Experiencing Tierra Luna Spa and Sol Garden

Tierra Luna Spa and Sol Garden

Arizona Biltmore recently welcomed Ann Patton as the new Director of Spa, Wellness, and Retail, coinciding with the property’s Tierra Luna Spa and Sol Garden earning a prestigious Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Award for the second year in a row. Patton will lead the Phoenix resort’s spa and retail to drive growth and helm future innovations of the resort’s spa services, motivated by her passion for creating immersive experiences inspired by the region’s distinct characteristics. We chatted with Patton to get her tips on how to get the most out of a visit to Tierra Luna Spa and Sol Garden in the upcoming months.

What are the most unique features at Tierra Luna Spa and Sol Garden?

Tierra Luna Spa has bespoke treatment rooms that are all named after the astrology signs. Guests can immerse themselves with Earth’s four elements through our indoor and outdoor relaxation spaces, indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, a Sol Cafe oasis as well as contrast bathing with hot tub and cold plunge pool. And lastly, Tierra Luna Spa has one of the only freestanding outdoor Halotherapy rooms where guests can boost their immunity and cleanse their respiratory system.

What are your top three tips for getting the most out of Sol Garden?

Our hot and cold contrast bathing ritual rejuvenates body, mind and spirit — to be enjoyed either individually, as a couple, or with a group of friends. Afterwards, our central meditation area allows guests to unwind on the cool grass and connect with the earth.

Experience our “Desert Oasis” Massage and pair it with an exfoliating body polish designed to smooth the skin and soothe the soul.

Harvest the power of the Sonoran sun with our Sun Worshipper & Alchemy Experience. Guests blend their own custom indigenous Sonoran mud with sacred chakra oils to apply to the body as the sun “bakes essential nutrients into the skin within your private relaxation pod. An outdoor rain shower will help to cleanse the spirit and the skin and leave guests clean, radiant and balanced.

Any favorite treatments for summer?

Try our Goddess Bath Ritual to stay cool during the warmer months, or our HydraFacial to visibly transform skin with a hydra-dermabrasion treatment that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts, and hydrates to prepare for the drier weather.

Anything special for summer at Tierra Luna Spa and Sol Garden that visitors should know about?

We have a Summer Spa Passport Series that allows guests to explore four different treatments within our spa modalities: Choose one massage, one facial, one body treatment, and one salon service to punch your passport towards a complimentary 50-minute service of your choice. Your wellness “journey” must be completed between June 1 and September 30th to be valid for the complimentary 5th service!

Any upcoming wellness offerings that readers should have on their radar?

We will be featuring regularly scheduled sound bowl meditations, either in the Sol Café (mornings) or in the Catalina Pool area in the evenings for a moonlit masterclass of mindfulness! We will also be featuring expanded spa nutritional offerings and custom crafted beverages.
