Beauty Boss: Alexandra Wagner, Founder of The White Tiger Collection

Alexandra Wagner.

Our latest Beauty Boss is Alexandra Wagner, esthetician and Founder of The White Tiger Collection—a new line of advanced skin care products based on her signature white turmeric and tiger grass plant stem cell complex. In addition to being a highly sought-after skin care expert, she owns Alexandra Wagner Skincare—a chic spa located on Venice Beach’s Abbot Kinney Boulevard that offers a variety of facials and other skin care/beauty services.

Wagner is also a fine artist who combines her love of art and skin care by donating a portion of sales from her paintings to nonprofit art organizations throughout the world. We chatted with the skin care expert and brand founder, who shared her beauty and wellness tips, best advice, secrets to success, and more:

What inspired the creation of Alexandra Wagner Skincare?

Before I became an esthetician I had another business, and I loved the challenge of running it. I knew if I liked skin care that I would want to work for myself. I moved from NYC to Los Angeles, and after six months found a cute room on Abbot Kinney in Venice Beach—and the business began.

How did you come up with The White Tiger Collection?

After years of working on many skin types and listening to people’s needs when it came to skin care,  my clients and I wanted to take the products I was using, improve them, and put my own creative energy into them. The White Tiger Collection is designed to be a straightfoward, active, clean, and clinical line that will brighten skin and even skin tone.

It all started with the White Tiger Serum, and after brainstorming a name that incorporated the ingredients, White Tiger was the name that was a combination of the white turmeric and the Tiger Grass Plant Stem Cells. Although it’s an active/clean line of skin care, I wanted a name that was fun but also was a symbol of unique beauty and strength—qualities I believe all women are striving for.

How long has the brand been around?

Alexandra Wagner Skincare was founded in 2006. As for the product line, I developed one product per year for the past four years, testing them rigorously on different skin types for efficacy, scent texture, and results from using over time.

What’s your favorite product from The White Tiger Collection?

I love the White Tiger Serum. It was the  first product I developed, and it’s so light but also very effective at hydrating, evening skin tone, balancing pigmentation, and calming redness. The stem cells help prevent breakdown of collagen, so it’s also a great anti-aging serum.

Where are your products sold?
