From dry skin and acne to melasma or aging skin, Sun Patch products are great for all skin types and issues, and are designed to protect skin so that it is healthy and looks its best. They can also be used in combination with sunscreen and won’t leave any tan lines.

We chatted with Griffin who shared the inspiration behind the brand, secrets for success, beauty tips, and much more.

When was Sun Patch founded and what does the name mean?

Sun Patch was founded in 2022 after years of developing our product’s patent pending silicone material. Making our patches UPF 50+ was actually the easy part—making them super comfortable and feel like a second skin was the challenge!

What inspired the creation of the brand?

Sun Patch was created out of a need to protect my young children. No matter how many times I reapplied sunscreen, they would still burn under their eyes. One day while watching them swim, I realized when they come out of the water they rub their eyes and rub off all the sunblock! That started my journey to create a sunblock that was actually waterproof—something that had never been done before!

Sun Patch’s Neon Collection ($58) includes Neon Pink, Neon Blue, and Neon Yellow Under-Eye to lock in moisture and protect the delicate skin under eyes from harsh UV rays.

Does Sun Patch have a hero product?

Our hero product is our Neon Pink Under-Eye Patch. It was our first product and will always be near and dear to us!

What are your favorite products from the brand?

Twist my arm but Neon Pink Under-Eye. Closely followed by our White Nose UV Protection!

Where are your products sold?

You can buy Sun Patch products on our website or on Amazon!

Future plans for the brand?

Our goal is for Sun Patches to be just as common as wearing a hat or a rash guard. We are determined to make an impact on UV facial cancers and give people more options when it comes to sun protection.

Sun Patch’s Pretty in Pink Collection ($38) includes Pink Under-Eye, Nose, and Star UV Protection that block 99.8% of UVA + UVB rays with UPF50+ infused silicone.

Who inspires you?

My greatest inspiration is my children and family. They are the reason I invented Sun Patch in the first place.

Secret to success?

Asking questions is a secret superpower for successful people. It's like having a cheat code for life where you can unlock knowledge, solve problems, and build relationships like a boss. You’d be surprised by how willing people are to share what they’ve learned, but you still have to ask!

Beauty secrets?

SPF always of course because prevention is cheaper and more effective than correction. That, and adding an edgy color lip, is always a good idea (my newest obsession is a purple lip).

Wellness tip?

Two shots of espresso and a sugary treat post-lunch is the key to my daily bliss.

Best advice?

Being complacent is a roadblock to personal and professional growth.

Favorite way to relax?

I’m an extrovert so loud music, dancing, and lots of people around help me to unwind and refresh my mind.
