Mandala, which means “sacred circle” in Sanskrit, represents the connection between our inner worlds and outer reality. Visually, a mandala is a circle with other shapes on it and its symmetry makes us feel at peace. From planets to atoms, there are circles everywhere around us and all of these aspects are reflected in mandalas.

Even though it appears to just be a circle with limited space, its meaning is really powerful: here and now. At the same time, this meaning is connected with external factors like time and space. Buddhists use mandalas as a meditation technique, and studies have show that they help relax your mind. While you are drawing or coloring mandalas, your senses gain focus and your energy is balanced.
