DIY: Valley Glow Bath Soak

See this content in the original post

When you’re feeling stressed, a relaxing bath is a great way to carve out some personal time for yourself. Not only does it encourage you to tune out the rest of the world by ignoring your phone, but bathing can also benefit your brain and nervous system, balance your hormones, and help you feel more relaxed and calm.

Our friends at Carneros Resort and Spa in Napa, California have shared a DIY bath salts soak that you can easily make at home for a luxurious bath session. The magnesium from the Epsom Salts helps soothe sore muscles and join pain, calms nerves, mends your mood, and promotes restful sleep. Baking soda adds a nice fizz to the bath, while essential oils are used therapeutically to promote physical and psychological wellness. Lemon balm specifically is known to reduce anxiety, alleviate stress, improve sleep, and generally induce a state of calm and peace.

“Valley Glow” Bath Soak

  • 1/2 cup Epsom Salts

  • 1.2 cup Dead Sea Salts

  • 2 tsp. Baking Soda

  • 8-10 drops Lemon Balm essential oil or essential oil of choice

Directions: In a bowl, mix all ingredients together and pour into a warm bath.
