Feed Your Soul with a Weekend of Wine and Wellness at Harvest Inn
If you’re a wine lover in need of a wellness getaway, a weekend in Napa at the Harvest Inn is the perfect storybook background for your self-care fairytale. Tucked away in St. Helena in the heart of Napa Valley, surrounded by sweeping vineyards and redwood groves, you can feel the magic of the tranquil setting the instant you set foot on the beautiful property.
We recently visited the Harvest Inn for a weekend of wellness at the Feed Your Soul Wellness Retreat. The retreat gave us the opportunity to be guided on a mindfulness journey that even included a unique wine tasting – because when in Napa it’s all about the wine! Here’s a peek into our weekend at the Harvest Inn for the Feed Your Soul Wellness Retreat.
Accommodations at the Harvest Inn
The spacious rooms at the Harvest Inn feature sweeping vineyard views, cozy fireplaces, and super-comfy plush beds. We stayed in one of the “Vineyard Collection” style rooms, and it looked straight out into the expansive vineyard.
It’s incredibly relaxing to enjoy a glass of local Napa wine at sunset on your private balcony as you look out on endless vines that fade into the mountain backdrop. And in the morning, it’s so peaceful to wake up to sounds of birds chirping and views of a cool misty blanket over picturesque vineyards.
The bathrooms at the Harvest Inn are stocked with Lather products, a Spa & Beauty Today favorite! There were also luxe bathrobes and slippers to help you get comfy and unwind. When you book a Vineyard Collection room, you get two complimentary drinks and a $50 daily restaurant credit for the Harvest Table.
Tip: All room types have a dog-friendly option, so if you like to travel with your pup this is a great Napa option!
Dining at The Harvest Table
The food at the Harvest Table, the resort’s on-site restaurant was divine. If you are visiting Napa Valley, even if you aren’t staying at the Harvest Inn, I highly recommend making a dining reservation.
The restaurant serves up a menu selection made from fresh locally sourced ingredients crafted by Chef Jeff Libunao who is known for his memorable and unique recipes that incorporate his Filipino culture and heritage. He also encourages the other members of his culinary team to incorporate their own personal heritages into their recipes. The results are delicious dishes created from the heart.
We were fortunate to get to experience dinner at the Harvest Table as well as lunch and snacks at the retreat prepared by the restaurant. Of course, the Harvest Table also has an expansive wine (and cocktail) menu to help you find your favorite pairings for each course. We loved everything we had, so here’s the breakdown.
What to Order at The Harvest Table in Napa Valley
We started with:
Housemade Focacia with Roasted Red Pepper Italian Dressing and Fresh Pacific Oysters with Apple Cider Mignonett & Tom Cat Gin Cocktail Sauce.
Next we had the Burrata with Roasted Grapes, Crispy Prosciutto, Arugula, and Glazed Pecans.
After that we enjoyed the Crispy Soju Braised Pork Belly with Gochujang Sauce, Kimchi Cucumbers, and Artisan Lettuce.
For our main entrees we had:
Seared King Salmon with Saffron Braised Fennel, Sundried Tomatoes, and Frisée.
Grilled Artichoke Hearts with Stewed Lentils, Whipped Lemon Garlic Labneh, Bottarga .(A great vegetarian option.)
Grilled Cut 7oz Akaushi Bavette with Garlic Confit, Roasted Maitake, and Port Reduction.
We enjoyed wine pairing with selections including:
Vin Gris of Pinot Noir Bouchaine – Rosé with notes of fresh picked strawberries, juicy watermelon, and guava.
Method Cabernet Savignon Napa Valley – Notes of ripe black cherry, violets, and earthy undertones.
Faust Napa Valley Cabernet Savignon – A crimson wine with flavors of blueberry, dark cherry, and a touch of spicy cedar.
Morlet Billet Doux Alexander Valley Late Harvest White Wine – A golden dessert wine with notes of yellow plum, honey, and sweet vanilla.
Insider’s Tip: Marcin Furmankiewicz, GM at the Harvest Table, and the restaurant team, provide stellar ordering and wine pairing recommendations. Furmankiewicz also told us about the Vivino app, an easy way to keep track of your favorite wines and find recommendations based on your preferences.
I’m craving all these amazing dishes right now just thinking about how wonderful this dinner was.
For dessert we had a lovely trio of:
Espresso Chocolate Pot de Creme. (We couldn’t believe this was vegan! It was so rich and decadent.)
Strawberry Pistachio Napoleon.
Chocolate Covered Madeleine.
After dinner we enjoyed strolling the dreamy grounds and stargazing.
