Fragrance Brand Sanctuary Brings Wildlfe Conservation to Beauty
Launched in May 2021, sustainability, wildlife conservation, and fragrances are the foundations of new beauty brand Sanctuary.
Hoping to conserve wildlife to make sure the world can be enjoyed by future generations, Sanctuary was founded to raise awareness by promoting sustainable practices and products in order to help the cause.

“We wanted to create a brand that was entirely committed to supporting conservation efforts,” says Isamar Batista, VP, Marketing & Owned Brands at Scentbird. “From charitable action, sustainable packaging, 100% transparency with consumers and clean formulations, Sanctuary’s goal is to create fragrances for a better future.”
Some of the sustainable practices and products Sanctuary uses are boxes and fragrances sleeves that are FSC certified and can be recycled, mycelium-based packaging made out of mushrooms, insulation made from U.S.-grown corn that is entirely compostable, post-industrial recycled glass, and organic vegetable-based inks.
Their first fragrances are Red Panda, which has key notes of bamboo, blackcurrant, sandalwood, vanilla orchid, and jasmine petals; and Amur Leopard, which has key notes of rosemary, apple, warm amber, tonka bean, and leather wood. Both recently launched fragrances were inspired by these endangered species and their habitats.
“We donate 20% of proceeds from every sale to an organization dedicated to saving each fragrance’s namesake, Red Panda Network and Phoenix Fund,” shares Batista.
Both fragrances have been very successful and well-received by customers, including members of the frangrance membership website, Scentbird.
“On Scentbird, we have over 1K positive reviews from members who received an 8ml sample of Red Panda and Amur Leopard and loved it,” says Batista. “Both fragrances were co-created with our Scentbird community who tried out the scents before the official launch.”
Sanctuary hopes to continue their efforts in conserving endangered species and wildlife.
“We want to create clean, conscious, socially responsible fragrances that are inspired by an at-risk animal and its habitat in an effort to tell its unique story and help save it from extinction,” adds Batista.
Both fragrances are now available on hellosanctuary.com and scentbird.com with prices set at $26 for a travel-size vial and $98 for a full-size bottle. Follow on Instagram: @thesanctuaryeffect @scentbird
