Holiday season has arrived, and the luxury hotels of Dorchester Collection have created a wealth of activities, occasions, offers and events to help you get into the seasonal spirit. From tea time in Paris to holiday cocktails in Beverly Hills, check out the different Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations being offered this year at Dorchester Collection hotels around the world:

Festive Cheer in Beverly Hills

The Beverly Hills Hotel.

In addition to Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day brunch at the iconic Polo Lounge at The Beverly Hills Hotel, the legendary restaurant and bar will also be hosting two New Year’s Eve seatings with live music and a champagne toast at midnight. The cocktail menu will feature a variety of delightful holiday drinks, including spiced mulled wine and spiked eggnog.

Holiday Happy Hour will also liven up Thursday afternoons throughout the season, with complimentary cider and hot chocolate served in the lobby. From November 23 to December 31, executive pastry chef Brook Martin will create a grand holiday-inspired Gingerbread House that will appear in the lobby, and Santa Claus will be making appearances leading up to Christmas. Other fun holiday activities include:

  • December 10: Logo Pop-Up & Gift Wrapping Session with holiday-themed adult libations and desserts at Bar Nineteen12

  • December 12: Kids Cookie Class led by Chef Martin on the Sunset Foyer, with every attendee leaving with 24 decorated cookies in one of the hotel’s signature pink to-go boxes

  • December 12-23: 12 Days of Festive Treats from the hotel’s executive pastry team, who will unveil a new Seasonal Soufflé daily inspired by festive season flavors such as pumpkin spice, eggnog and candy cane

Making & Baking Sweet Memories in Los Angeles

Hotel Bel-Air.

At Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, California, executive pastry chef Tiffany Pascua will lead fun-filled Holiday Kids and Adults Cooking Classes at Wolfgang Puck restaurant. The hotel will provide everything needed for participants to craft their own cookies and gingerbread house.

The restaurant kitchen will also offer a four-course pre-fixe menu on Christmas Eve topped with a Seasonal Bouche de Noel, Christmas Day brunch, Christmas Day dinner, and a special New Year’s Eve dinner complete with champagne and party favors.

A Classic British Family Christmas in London

The Dorchester.

Guests of The Dorchester in London will be greeted by a towering 14-foot British Christmas tree decorated with exclusive hand-blown and painted The Dorchester Doorman baubles, as well as the opportunity to decorate their rooms with wreaths and trees using everything from candy canes to the color scheme of their suite.

From November through January, the hotel will host a three-month pop-up by British luxury house, Asprey. The boutique will showcase a series of handbags, jewelry, homeware and gifts, and hotel guests will receive complimentary embossing and engraving throughout the residency. Guests will also have the option of enjoying a Festive Champagne Afternoon Tea or a Christmas Carol Afternoon Tea at The Promenade, featuring delectable pastries by executive pastry chef Sarah Barber.

Now That’s a Shiny Tree in London

45 Park Lane

The elegant and contemporary 45 Park Lane in London will be home to a 12-foot bronze Christmas tree decorated with bronze fir cones commissioned by sculptor Jill Berelowitz. The tree will be topped with two figures holding a golden star with outstretched arms for a seasonal symbol of excitement and celebration, and all overnight guests of the hotel will be gifted a bronze fir cone as a keepsake. Berelowitz will also exhibit a newly created body of work “Osmosis,” which will highlight themes of positivity and regeneration, and will run through February 1, 2019.

We Wish You a Bubbly Christmas in Ascot

Coworth Park.

Luxury country house hotel Coworth Park, which is 45 minutes from London, will welcome guests on Christmas Eve with a bottle of Laurent-Perrier Champagne, as well as a festive champagne afternoon tea that will include a live choir in the Drawing Room. On Christmas Day, Father Christmas will pay a visit to get the fun started. And resident guests will also receive a chocolate masterclass.

Christmas Tea Time Temptations in Paris

Le Meurice.

Nestled amid lights and love in the heart of Paris, Le Meurice, the grand and historic palace hotel, will serve up memorable seasonal menus throughout December. Pastry chef Cedric Grolet, named World’s Best Restaurant Pastry Chef 2018, will be whipping up a Christmas Tea Time with finger sandwiches, biscuits, cookies, dark and milk chocolate mendiants.

Grolet will also create his annual Yule Log in two versions: one created with fresh chestnuts in a wide range of textures (mousse, cream, crisps and candied) counterbalanced by a roast chestnut biscuit base with hazelnut praline and lemon-flavored gel; the other with smoked chestnuts for a different look and 10 times the flavor.

Gourmet Forest Full of Trees in Paris

Hotel Plaza Athenee.

At Hotel Plaza Athenee, located in the heart of Paris, guests will be able to purchase a stunning Gourmet Forest created by Angelo Musa, winner of the World Pastry Cup and Best Craftsman of France Award, along with pastry chef Alexandre Dufeu. The stylish and delicious holiday dessert plates will feature a charming pine forest with seven snow-covered fir trees in a range of shapes, each combining flavors and textures in a celebration of 100% vanilla, with undergrowth of sparkling bushes that taste of sweet chocolate and a base of pure white that is actually a bar of dark chocolate mediant covered with dried and crystallized fruit. Sized for a party of seven, the Gourmet Forest will be available to purchase starting December 1.

Hotel Eden.

Roman luxury property Hotel Eden will have festive decorations that emphasize its timeless charm, and the theme of lightness will be celebrated with a special Christmas tree designed by Chez Dede, an independent brand that offers exclusive collections of accessories, fashion, home decor and jewels. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea with an Italian twist.

Panettone & Prosecco in Milan

Hotel Principe di Savoia.

Decorated for the season, Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan will offer a luxurious getaway with guest rooms set up in a festive theme and a welcome gift waiting for children. A handmade Acqua di Parma tree will showcase Italian craftsmanship at its finest, while an Acqua di Parma pop-up retail space will raise money for Dynamo Camp to support children.

Il Salotto Lobby Lounge will showcase a selection of Panettone and special Christmas treats accompanied by a hot drink or a glass of Prosecco. The hotel will also host a New Year’s Eve celebration at Principe Bar, which will include a live DJ set, traditional cotechino with lentils, a special Principe di Savoia panettone, and a bottle of champagne.
