Glen Ivy Hot Springs Opens Newly Enhanced Grotto Experience

At Glen Ivy Hot Springs, guests can enjoy soothing skin treatments in the newly enhanced Grotto.

The Grotto has been a popular signature treatment at Glen Ivy Hot Springs in Corona, California for a long time, and after months of remodeling, the newly enhanced Grotto reopened on March 14, offering guests a relaxing and unique subterranean treatment and experience.

Historically, grottos have served as a tranquil escape from the outside world, providing a place where participants can enjoy calmness, peace, and quiet while practicing meditation. For years, Glen Ivy Hot Springs has brought the essence of these ancient caves to the hot springs, offering its visitors an indulgent body treatment that hydrates and softens skin.

The new Grotto experience starts in a serene bamboo forest, and upon arrival, guests are painted from neck-to-toe in a nourishing body masque made with warm aloe vera, coconut oil, eucalyptus, lavender, and shea butter in 12 newly expanded, underground painting alcoves. The Grotto’s spacious and gently heated caverns, which are surrounded by hanging plants and waterfalls, offer a space where guests can enjoy the environment as a group, before rinsing off under cascading water.

The last step takes places in the cooler Grotto, where tea, water, and fresh fruit are offered while the cave’s cooling effect closes pores, locking in nutrients from the masque. The treatment is available for $30 per guest.

“Glen Ivy Hot Springs offers an unrivaled treatment menu that caters to our guests’ appetite for sensory experiences like the Grotto,” says Clive McNish, General Manager of Glen Ivy Hot Springs. “We are thrilled to unveil the reimagined Grotto experience and have the opportunity to welcome more guests to enjoy this truly unique signature body treatment.”
