Anthony Duggan has been named General Manager of Miraval Austin, an award-winning wellness destination in Austin, Texas. The newest Miraval destination, Miraval Austin is a unique sanctuary situated on 220 acres in the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve—a haven of ancient trees, rare songbirds and rich wildlife in Texas Hill Country overlooking Lake Travis. The resort is home to the Life in Balance Spa, Body Mindfulness Center, Cypress Creek Organic Farm and Ranch, and much more, offering guests the ultimate getaway for relaxation and finding balance.

Duggan brings more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to his role and has been instrumental in the success of some of the most iconic and celebrated resorts in the country, including L’Auberge de Sedona in Arizona, Amangiri in Utah, Fairmont Kea Lani in Hawaii, and Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park.

In his role as General Manager, Duggan will use his experience in the hospitality space to build on Miraval’s longstanding reputation as a leader in wellness travel and further Miraval Austin’s promise of offering well-being through exploration.

Duggan also practices mind/body/spirit well-being in his daily life and is an avid hiker who enjoys being outdoors, particularly in the nature reserve around Miraval Austin. He loves to cook and uses cooking as part of his regular mindfulness practice, and experiments with his wellness routine by testing different workouts.
