I'm a body scrub girl. I love them. My dry skin craves them. Throw in an amazing scent and my self-care shower needs are fulfilled. I discovered the C & The Moon Malibu Made brand last year when I was pregnant with my third baby after hearing rave reviews about their Glow Oil. Naturally, I was thrilled to also try Malibu Made Body Scrub ($64). The scent is divine, consisting of natural vanilla and brown sugar, a perfectly sweet and delicious treat for the senses and the skin. My skin felt smoother, with fewer ingrown hairs as the brown sugar worked its magic, leaving a nourishing barrier—thanks to the scrub's four softening oils. As I learned about the brand I was inspired by its non-toxic, environmentally conscious efforts and I applaud the donations made to The Natural Resource Defense Council (NRDC), an organization that safeguards plants, animals and earth's natural systems. Next up, I'm dying to try out C & The Moon's candles. Cue "Malibu" by Ms. Cyrus for mood music. —Alisha Racker
I’m a huge fan of Bath & Body Works Concentrated Room Sprays ($8.95) which feature the cutest packaging, are available in a wide variety of ever-changing scents to suit any mood, and instantly refresh any space. Each bottle contains a minimum of 250 sprays and all you need are one to two spritzes to freshen up any room. I keep these all over the house including the bathroom, living room and my home office!
I love the entire May Lindstrom line of skincare products and I miraculously was able to hold onto my bottle of The Good Stuff ($160), her incredible body and hair radiance oil, for a long time. Despite being discontinued, it was recently brought back in a limited quantity (which sold out super fast!) but it will be returning again in a limited release for Summer 2023. May refers to it as “liquid sunshine,” and when you apply the sheer golden oil to your skin, you’ll see exactly what she’s talking about. The nurturing blend of macadamia, olive and plum oils instantly hydrates skin while tantalizing the senses with the scents of warm cacao, rose, lavender and ylang ylang. I also go through a bottle of the Jasmine Garden ($70) botanical facial mist every four to six weeks, as it helps calm and hydrate dry or irritated skin with colloidal silver, fresh botanical extracts and cellular waters. I keep it chilled in my fridge year-round, and apply it daily before and after the rest of my skincare routine.
When Diptyque launched its La Droguerie collection of eco-friendly house cleaning products last spring, I couldn’t have been more excited. One of the products I tried was the Dishwashing Liquid with Orange Blossom ($45), which comes in a beautiful and refillable glass bottle. I really enjoyed the pleasant scent of orange blossom, mandarin and basil, and the bottle itself makes a statement on any kitchen counter. Note: the bottle is fairly large and heavy (and breakable!) so make sure you have ample space on your counter or under your sink to store it safely when not in use.
HERA Powder Matte Lip Tint ($40) quickly became my go-to lip color in my everyday routine. It moisturizes lips with essential oils and features buildable coverage, although I found that one or two applications was sufficient for color that pops. It dries matte on lips so you don’t have any sticky residue (the worst when you have long hair!) and the color lasts for hours. It comes in a variety of shades and my color of choice was Pampas, which is somewhere between coral and blush.—Kamala Kirk
L’Occitane Shower Oil ($10.50 to $29). I love this so much. I have been using a travel-size bottle that I snagged from a hotel stay and I can’t wait to purchase the full size. I use it every time I shower and it leaves my body feeling smooth, moisturized and clean without leaving a greasy residue. It can also be used as a shaving oil. I use it under my arms to get rid of any deodorant residue. Also, it smells amazing. If you haven’t tried a shower oil, you should. The end.
Milbon Creative Style Dry Texturizing Spray 4 ($43). I am a big fan of Milbon haircare, but I ADORE their dry texture spray. I’m always going for the beachy waves look, and this is a must-have if you’re looking for volume and texture. I recently put my extensions back in, so I’m all about BIG hair. It doesn’t make my hair (real and fake) greasy or weighed down. As someone who avoids washing their hair at all costs, this is a must-have for me.
Tree Hut Moisturizing Shave Oil ($9.99). Speaking of oils, I love this shave oil from Tree Hut. The Tropic Glow scent is actually my favorite, but you can’t go wrong with any of the scents. I use it every time I shave my legs and I have really noticed the difference in my skin. Skip the shaving creams and make the switch to a shave oil. You won’t regret it. Tree Hut is one of my favorite brands for body care, and I love that they’re so affordable. I get mine at Target or Ulta. #addtocart—Tara Palty Troszak
