Organic Spa Media to Host The Wellness Experience Virtual Summit on October 20 & 21

Organic Spa Media is hosting The Wellness Experience Virtual Summit on October 20 & 21, which will feature wellness content and live experiences from leading experts, wellness advocates, and influencers worldwide.

For the past eight years, Organic Spa Media has held their annual NYC Experience Wellness & Travel Media Event, which hosts top-level press representatives from the health, beauty, wellness, and travel sectors, along with spa resort owners and wellness travel agents. In addition to enjoying an organic gourmet luncheon, media attendees also get the opportunity to meet sponsors and learn about the latest trends, products, and innovations in the wellness travel and organic beauty industries, as well as hear from some of the industry’s thought leaders and visionaries on a variety of important topics and issues.

“This would have been our eighth year of producing our NYC Experience Wellness & Travel media event,” says Bev Maloney-Fischback, CEO, Founder and Publisher of Organic Spa Media. “It was created as a way to give our core wellness brands exposure to mass media outlets beyond Organic Spa Media’s more targeted global wellness audience. The high quality of our media attendees and exclusivity of our events is what underscored the success of our franchise.”

Due to COVID-19, Organic Spa Media has shifted gears and will be hosting The Wellness Experience Virtual Summit, powered by 6Connex and created by Organic Spa Media. The exciting two-day virtual summit will take place on October 20 and 21 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (EST) and will feature wellness content and live experiences from leading experts, wellness advocates, and influencers worldwide. Attendees will be able to learn, engage, and immerse themselves into the ever-growing world of wellness living, natural beauty, and global wellness travel.

“Once we realized that we wouldn't be able to host our annual in-person media events, we knew we needed to create a digital/virtual alternative,” adds Maloney-Fischback. “We just didn’t want it to be the same boring business-like digital experiences we were seeing out there. So, I was very happy to discover a multi-layered, multi-room platform that could really bring wellness experiences to life and into people’s homes in real time. I am beyond excited about what my team and I have created. We hope we’ve birthed a whole new dimension of virtual wellness experiences online.”

The Wellness Experience will be divided into three “Wellness Content Pods” that provide viewers with wellness education, experiences, and brand discovery. To view the complete schedule, click here. The pods will include:

  • Wellness Experiences: Ongoing live and programmed yoga classes, meditation sessions, spa cuisine, beauty how-to’s, nutrition overview, fitness instruction, and more.

  • Wellness Education & Panels: Ongoing live and programmed segments with wellness

travel, beauty, lifestyle and fitness experts, including fully-immersive travel wellness experiences coming live from locations around the world.

  • Wellness Brand Showcase: A virtual Brand Showcase where sponsors host their own virtual booth space with live and on-demand content throughout the day.

The Wellness Experience is open to anyone and is free for the first 2,000 people that sign up.

“The educational experiences will be interactive and loads of fun for those at home—ranging from Thai kick boxing and a virtual hike in upstate New York to a clean beauty demonstration and cooking classes, and many more,” shares Maloney-Fischback. “We are bringing wellness travel, wellness living, and natural beauty to life through these activations. We have leading experts throughout the wellness and travel space, including panelists from leading travel brands such as Abercrombie & Kent, along with activations and sponsors such as certified health coach and best-selling author Jolene Hart, Thai Tourism, and more.”

The Wellness Experience is open to anyone and many top-level media, trade, and consumer attendees have already signed up to attend. It is free for the first 2,000 people that sign up and $149 per person thereafter. You can register here.

“I’m looking forward to everything about The Wellness Experience,” says Maloney-Fischback. “I only wish I was on the other side—as a participant and not a creator/manager—because we really have so much to offer within all three of our content pillars and it will be a fun, engaging, and educational experience for everyone. I’m also happy that we're keeping the event/content accessible and on-demand for all registrants post-event for a whole week. That way registrants can go back and experience any of the segments they may have missed.”

When asked how she’s been practicing self-care during these times, Maloney-Fischback shares that she makes sure not to miss daily rituals like quiet morning walks with her dogs before she heads to the office, yoga every other day, lots of fresh air and hikes in nature on the weekends—in addition to a really soothing hot bath.

“I was thinking this morning of how important quiet is for everyone right now—and how hard that is to find,” she adds. “If and when you find that quiet space or quiet time, take it and just be as much as possible. Oh yes, and make sure you register for our event!”
