When image is part of your brand, looking your best is like a full time job. So when it comes to researching skincare, I'm always interested in what celebrities are doing to look their best. Afterall, they have the means, access, and motivation to keep up appearances with the top professionals, products, and tools available.
Some celebrities are extremely secretive or vague about their skincare routines. Others, like Paris Hilton, have publicly discussed their routines. Hilton has even shared videos with a look inside her in-home spa, "Sliving Spa," stocked with hi-tech amenities including a NEO Light red light therapy bed, a hyperbaric chamber, and a CryoBuilt cryochamber. Hilton is so passionate about skincare that she recently launched her own skincare line, Parívie, a collection she says she worked on for over two and a half years.
Hilton discovered some of her game-changing skincare secrets from her longtime esthetician Heather Nicole. We had the chance to ask Paris Hilton about what she's learned from Heather Nicole.
Paris Hilton Tells Us What's Hot in Skincare
Spa and Beauty Today: How long have you been a client of Heather Nicole, and can you share any skincare secrets that you’ve learned from her?
Paris Hilton: Heather’s been my facialist for almost a decade. She’s a total skin genius. She taught me the magic of microcurrent, it’s like a workout for your face, and of course, her latest, the Plasma Skin Perfector. It really does perfect your skin!
Spa and Beauty Today: Do you have a favorite part of the treatment and/or must-get service when visiting Heather Nicole for a facial?
Paris Hilton: Her massage is everything, so sculpting and relaxing. Anything she does is amazing, in just the right combinations for my busy schedule. I love the Jet Peel and the Plasma as well.
Spa and Beauty Today: Have you discovered any skincare products through Heather Nicole that are now part of your routine? If so, what are they?
Paris Hilton: I’m obsessed with her Plasma Skin Perfector for keeping my skin camera-ready. It’s so easy to use. That’s hot!
We Tried Paris Hilton's Signature Facial by Heather Nicole
Treatment room at Skin Skulpt in Beverly Hills.
We were invited to visit Heather Nicole in her Beverly Hills studio to experience some of the exact techniques she uses on Paris Hilton. And we can confirm: That massage is everything!
Here's a look at the signature treatment, and how you can experience it for yourself:
Microcurrent:
Heather Nicole starts the facial with microcurrent with the Neurotis XS 4500. "Microcurrent is like going to the gym for your face, so results are cumulative" says Heather Nicole. "The muscle memory kicks in at six sessions, so you have to do a minimum of six sessions and then you are on once a month maintenance," she explains.
Heather Nicole shares that microcurrent is a big celebrity secret that some of her clients use who want to avoid fillers and botox. “It keeps them looking natural and refreshed,” she says.
Dermaplaning:
Next comes dermaplaning. This is a technique where the top layer of skin (and peach fuzz) is gently shaved away. It's used for achieving smooth texture and enhanced product absorption.
Microdermabrasion:
For deeper exfoliation, Heather Nicole follows dermaplaning with microdermabrasion.
Extractions:
Heather applies her signature oil before extractions to help with the extraction process. "I always do oil before I do the extractions," says Heather Nicole. She proceeds with extractions on areas including my nose and chin.
Massage:
Extractions are followed by a massage of my face and décolleté. As Hilton mentioned, the massage is very relaxing.
Charcoal Mask:
Next, Heather Nicole applies a charcoal mask. She explains that the mask is to help clean out my pores.
Celluma Light Therapy:
This light therapy is used to help with collagen stimulation and feels calming.
Plasma Skin Perfector:

Heather Nicole uses Plasma Skin Perfector, the device Paris Hilton said helps her get her skin camera-ready. Plasma Skin Perfector is a tool from Heather Nicole's own brand, Skin Skulpt. "It's great for acne, it's great for pigmentation, and it also enhances your product penetration," says Heather Nicole. She retails this product to be used as an at-home device on her website for $399, and says it can be used on each side of the face every other day for just five minutes to help improve texture.
JetPeel Infusion
JetPeel is a tool that uses a high-velocity jet stream of pressurized air and liquid solutions to help with product absorption. It's used to help infuse hydration, peptides, and nutrients without needles.
Serums:
Heather Nicole finishes the facial with application of products from the Skin Skulpt line, including Skin Skulpt Omni Elixir Serum and Savior Essential Moisturizer.
A calming massage, two and a half hours of relaxing facial treatments, and time to disconnect while being pampered felt invigorating. Heather Nicole customized everything for my unique needs to make me feel like my skin was important and seen. She was thorough and walked me through every step of the facial, patiently answering all my questions. It's easy to understand why Paris Hilton makes treatments with Heather Nicole a regular thing.

The Celebrity Treatment
A celebrity-style skincare treatment from Heather Nicole with all the bells and whistles is something you can experience for yourself if you are in Beverly Hills and have a budget of $1,000-$1,500 for your facial, depending on what techniques you experience. The combination may include services like Luminous RF Glow, Osmosis Facial Infusion, microdermabrasion, and cryotherapy. The whole process takes about two and a half hours.
Facetime consultations can be booked for $200 each, and 90 minute treatments for new clients start at $600. Appointments can be booked at Heathernicoleskincare.com.
If you aren't in Beverly Hills or can't afford to splurge on a facial with Heather Nicole, Skin Skulpt Plasma Skin Perfector can be used at home and runs for $399 on Skinskulpt.com. You can also follow Heather Nicole and Paris Hilton on Instagram to keep up with their latest skincare tips.
