Product Review: I Tried Face Halo Makeup Remover Pads and Now I'm Obsessed

Face Halo Pro and Face Halo Original.

Confession: I wear makeup daily. Even if I don’t want to go all out, I usually put on a little foundation and mascara. And when it comes to taking off my makeup, I can be lazy at times. On the days when I’m super tired, I’ll resort to using disposable wipes. Of course, I’m aware of the cons of disposable wipes; besides not being great for the environment, they may contain ingredients that aren’t good for skin —plus they don’t always do the best job of completely removing makeup. We all know that mascara and eye makeup can be pretty stubborn!

Recently, I had the opportunity to try Face Halo and discovered that not only did it remove more makeup than most disposable wipes I’ve tried, but it’s sustainable and doesn’t have questionable ingredients. So what exactly is Face Halo? It’s a makeup remover pad that uses HaloTech technology to gently and efficiently remove makeup. The super soft pad is make out of a material that is 100 times finer than a human hair, so the fibers reach deep into the pores to remove and trap makeup, dirt, and grime. All you need to do is wet the Face Halo with water and gently wipe off your makeup. Yes, just water—it really works like magic when it comes to getting everything off!

While you don’t need to use a cleanser with Face Halo, I like to first use an oil cleanser on my face, rinse it off, and then follow with the Face Halo. I’ve really noticed a difference in my skin since I’ve started using Face Halo and my pores look so much better. It even removes stubborn eye makeup! To take off the eye makeup, it is recommended to hold the Face Halo over the eye area a little longer and then wipe it off.

What’s really cool is that the Face Halo is reusable; just throw it in the washing machine (don’t use fabric softener.) Each Face Halo replaces 500 makeup wipes and can be washed up to 200 times. Once you are done with the Face Halo, it’s easily recyclable.

Face Halo comes in a pack of three for $22. Face Halo Original and Face Halo PRO are great for removing heavier makeup and masks. There is also the Face Halo Body, which includes an exfoliator on one side and is perfect for cleansing, smoothing, and revitalizing your entire body.
