Spa Profile: Curated Adventures and Luxurious Relaxation at the Spa at Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe
Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe is the ultimate luxury destination for curated once-in-a-lifetime adventures, thoughtfully-designed accommodations, and rejuvenating spa experiences in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Situated on 57 rolling acres in the Sangre de Cristo foothills, the destination is just 10 minutes from Santa Fe’s vibrant downtown restaurants, shops, and galleries.
In 2024, the resort unveiled a multi-million-dollar revitalization inspired by New Mexico’s awe-inspiring landscapes and pueblo architecture. Each of the 65 reimagined casitas invites guests to unwind in spaces that honor Indigenous culture and artistry, incorporating materials and designs reflective of local traditions. Whether relaxing after a day of invigorating activities curated by the resort’s Adventure Center—like guided hikes, mountain biking, EQUUS horse experiences, or hot air balloon rides—or indulging in Southwestern cuisine at its elegant dining venues, visitors are immersed in the spirit of the Southwest.
New Mexico Spa Guide: The Best Spas in Santa Fe
Four Seasons Resort Encantado’s 10,000-square-foot spa, located on a spiritual vortex, is an extraordinary sanctuary for restoring balance. We spoke with Spa Director Tina Hay, who shared insights into the spa’s unique offerings.
Why You’ll Love It: Our private spa courtyards are very popular with our guests. These courtyards each feature a private hot soaking tub, dry sauna, and space to relax. They are complimentary to book for guests of the resort, and can be enjoyed on their own or in conjunction with a treatment.
Our spa also incorporates the use of indoor/outdoor space. I always say that the best soundtrack is nature’s soundtrack! Listen to the birds chirping, feel the breeze as you walk to your treatment room and simply immerse yourself in the natural environment.
Key Features: Our Spa features 15 treatment rooms and is situated on a spiritual vortex. Guests can experience a variety of locally inspired body treatments, massage, facials and a full complement of hair and nail services in the salon. Amenities include the private spa courtyards, as well as separate men’s and women’s relaxation areas and a co-ed warming room.

Insider’s Tip: We encourage guests to tell us about their special celebrations! All guests receive a complimentary glass of sparkling wine or non-alcoholic cider. We love to add special touches such as a cupcake or chocolate-covered strawberries for those celebrating a birthday or anniversary.
Bonus: Make sure to allow plenty of time to enjoy the facilities! Feel the energy of the vortex, pause, and take in the healing calm of the space. Make time to enjoy the relaxation areas and warming room prior to or after your treatment.
Snacks Served: We serve local Mountain Desert tea, infused water, housemade granola and dried fruit in the warming room.
Splurge Treatment: The Mountain Spirit Purification treatment is one of my favorite indulgent and relaxing treatments. Native American reverence for the Earth inspires our purification ritual. We begin with a smudging of sage, followed by an adobe clay body mask. A warm restful wrap is completed with a scalp and foot massage, followed by a juniper-sage massage using hot stones.
Unique Treatment: Our Spiritual Journey is unique and wonderful! Retreat through a guided journey of peace and enlightenment to purify and restore from the outside in. The treatment begins with a sage smudging ceremony, clearing unsettled energy, before the body is wrapped with nutrient-rich adobe clay. Once cocooned in clay, guests are treated to a personalized purification ritual to rest and reset. The treatment concludes with a chakra balancing massage to restore mind, body and spirit.
