We chatted with Stephanie Arrive, Spa Director at Hina Spa at Conrad Bora Bora Nui Resort, who shared insider tips, recommended spa treatments to try, and more:

Why You’ll Love It: The hilltop location providing stunning views of Mount Otemanu, Maupiti Island, and overlooking the bright blue lagoon. The most beautiful sunset views are seen from the spa. Guests also love the design of the treatment rooms and the outdoor room with breathtaking Monte Manu views.

Key Features: The spa has three double treatment villas with private jacuzzis, four single treatment rooms, and an outdoor double treatment area with panoramic views often referred to as the “million dollar view” spot.

Insider’s Tip: I highly suggest taking advantage of tamanu, which is a plant typically only grown in French Polynesia. It’s wonderful for delicate or dehydrated skin, sunburns, rashes, psoriasis, eczema, and more. Tamanu can recover damaged skin in one application. The Hina Signature Treatment provides a tamanu body wrap and guests can enjoy an amazing scalp treatment during the wrap.

Snacks Served: Dry fruit, almonds, assorted nuts, and detox water that is homemade every morning by the spa team.

Bonus: All of our guests want their picture taken at the “Million Dollar View” spot with the clear blue water seen for miles in the background and our spa team is always happy to take that photo for them!

Unique Treatment: Our Hina Signature Massage was created according to the description of the Goddess Hina. The treatment is extremely unique and is only practiced at Hina Spa at Conrad Bora Bora Nui Resort.

Insider’s Favorite: The Hina Signature Ritual is my favorite. The treatment uses 100% vanilla and is referred to as “the black gold of French Polynesia.” The scrub and wrap result in baby-like soft skin. The treatment concludes with a relaxing Hina Signature Massage with vanilla aroma oil.

Splurge Treatment: The Hina Signature Ritual uses a Tahitian vanilla body scrub, a vanilla moisturizing body wrap, and is completed by the Hina Signature Massage using vanilla aromatherapy oil massage.

Another great option is the Hair and Scalp Treatment with coconut oil that includes a 30-minute scalp massage completed by a 30-minute hair treatment using organic virgin oil. This treatment was inspired by the typical daily hair routine of many Polynesian women.

Featured Products: We currently use our own local products such as organic virgin coconut oil, tiare monoi oil, frangipani monoi oil, vanilla oil, papaya, and pineapple made by our local supplier, and we will also use another brand soon: Biologique Recherche.
