Why You’ll Love It: We have a group of extremely talented providers with an impressive resume of different techniques and training in different modalities. Some of those modalities include active muscle release, lymphatic drainage, and energy work.

Insider’s Tip: Our spa showers are equipped with a relaxing eucalyptus spray so you can enjoy the benefits of a steam room while you shower. The spray is also available in our retail space to continue the spa experience at home.

Spa snacks.

Spa Snacks: The spa does have light snacks in our relaxation lounge like mixed nuts, dried fruits and pretzels. With some of our Tranquility Room packages, we offer a melon and berry plate, cheese and charcuterie board, or locally made truffles. If you are looking for a full meal option, The Resort at Squaw Creek has six on-site restaurants in Squaw Valley, each with a different ambiance and menu. All of our food is made from scratch using local ingredients, seasonal fruits and vegetables. This includes all of our breads and pastries, which are baked fresh daily in our pastry kitchen.

Insider’s Favorite/Unique Treatment: Our most unique treatment for the spa is the Squaw Valley Sacred Journey, which also happens to be my favorite. The unique aspect of the treatment is at the beginning: a light burning of sage is used to cleanse your energy prior to your service. This session also includes an aromatherapy hot stone massage with notes of pine and sage, indigenous to the Squaw Valley area, along with a mud wrap.

Luxurious Splurge Treatment: I recommend a HydraFacial—it’s a must-try facial that has results unlike any other in the industry. A HydraFacial is a hydradermabrasion treatment that carries out their three-part patented regiment of cleansing, exfoliating, and then infusing your skin with customizable serums. The service also has automated painless extractions to clean pores and remove blackheads. After just one service, you will see a noticeable difference in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, congested pores, and skin tone. The best part of this facial is that it’s great for all skin types and requires no recovery time, unlike traditional peels.

Featured Brands: At the spa we have a wide variety of products for health and wellness. Our two main skin care brands are Kerstin Florian and Cosmedix, which are featured in a number of our facials. We also have great products from FarmHouse Fresh that we utilize in our seasonal specials, like our Hot Butter Rum Scrub or our Warm Honey Wrap. FarmHouse Fresh has a lovely CBD line that we also use in our treatments and enhancement services.
