Why You’ll Love It: The Spa at Tryall is unique to visitors with the local tie-ins of Jamaican culture and lifestyle that flow throughout, our guests have noted their love of how authentic the spa is to Jamaica. Guests are fascinated with the craftsmanship of the spa from the locally sourced wooden flooring to the beautifully designed cabinetry using local cedar and bamboo, handcrafted pottery sinks and stunning mosaic tiling.

Most of the items used to create our spa are locally made, and hand crafted right here in Jamaica from local Jamaican architects and artists. Local workers helped us install everything and our spa team are fully Jamaican combining techniques they have learnt over their careers to offer an authentic experience. Guests have noted their love of our colorful artwork from local artists, which have been displayed to complement the chakras giving a balance to the color flow throughout.

Another local aspect spa guests have noted is their appreciation of local botanicals used for treatments and beverages. The wellness CBD line uses organic, locally-grown plants. The “farm-to-spa concept” ties together all the local elements throughout the spa. All of these authentic elements naturally compliment the spa’s values of sourcing local products and artwork, and guests have shared how special it is to Jamaica.

Key Features: The Spa at Tryall offers exceptional services and amenities for guests to enjoy on their holiday. The spaces within the spa include: “Hol a Medz” the patio’s name (meaning “hold a meditation…stop, don’t do anything!”) for the Spa’s yoga, meditation, and sound therapy space, two spacious couples’ treatment rooms, two individual treatment rooms, a nail salon, and a hair salon.

There is a shaded terrace named “Idle a While” (another Jamaican phrase) with comfortable furnishings and a pool terrace surrounded by picturesque views of the lush landscape. Amenities include group yoga classes and private yoga classes (which can be taught in your villa), as well as personal fitness training in the Club’s gym.

The rejuvenating treatments offered at the spa include massage, body scrub treatment, facials, yoga, sound meditation, and more. The Spa at Tryall also offers manicures and pedicures using Kure Bazaar products, gentleman’s hand/nail/foot care, Lycon waxing, and Kerastase hair treatments, cuts, and styling.

We also plan to add additional amenities and offerings in the next couple of years as we continually expand at the spa.

Snacks Served: At the spa, we offer juice shots post-treatment, and during yoga and meditation we are looking to provide guests with local cacao and cinnamon to try. We are currently working with The Tryall Club’s chef to finalize our spa offering.

Our vision for the spa is to have healthy offerings and add a “health inspired” section to the resort menus so people can enjoy a connected spa and dining experience throughout their stay. We would love to offer an organic garden lunch at the restaurant which connects directly back to the spa. More details are to come about the food and beverage offerings later this year!

At the end of their treatment, the guest is offered a refreshing juice shot made with seasonal ingredients such as pineapple and ginger, carrot, and lemongrass or perhaps a warming cacao after yoga.

Splurge Treatment: We encourage guests to experience the wellness treatments with their partners or best friends in one of our spacious couples’ treatment rooms. The spa offers a 120-minute massage or a combination of a massage and facial for two for $590.

This package, “Duos in Paradise,” allows couples or friends to spend time together in a state of relaxation. The bespoke spa experience caters directly to the two guests, in which they can pick the perfect treatment combinations. This luxurious treatment (or two!) is the perfect option for those couples, or best friends looking to splurge and find tranquility at the spa together.

Favorite Treatment: My favorite treatment at the spa is the 90-minute “B Silent” Bamford spa journey, which is a sustainable and restorative treatment that aims to correct sleep health. By using both modern and ancient techniques, the spa therapist will completely tailor the treatment to the client’s needs.

“B silent” is one of the Bamford wellness rituals the spa offers that is sleep inducing, which helps prepare one’s body for sound and restful sleep. This is (one of) my favorite treatments at the spa because it addresses such an important factor in our everyday life. This treatment is also super relevant to traveler’s wants and needs this year.

When looking at the 2024 top wellness trends, we noticed that guests are looking to travel this year while staying rested and recharged. With this shift in traveling priorities to keep sleep health top of mind, we want to make sure we are keeping our treatments relevant to guests’ needs and competitive offerings.

Unique Treatment: The most unique treatment featured at the Spa at Tryall is our 90-minute JACANA Essential offering. This signature holistic treatment features a full-body massage, grounding breathwork, and chakra energy clearing to leave guests feeling more refreshed than ever.

Additionally, the offering is combined with a relaxing sound-bath for the ultimate “Calm, Rebalance, & Relaxation” treatment. We use Jamaican botanical essentials, paired with natural healing sounds to create a calm and relaxing environment for guests.

This treatment is unique to The Spa at Tryall and to Jamaica with the use of local rituals, botanicals, and the sounds of Jamaica, all into one 60 or 90-minute session. The chakra work also aims to help target individual needs to re-balance and re-center one’s chakras. We are proud to offer the Jacana treatment rituals and look forward to guests continuing to enjoy this local Jamaican offering.
