In 2019 SHISEIDO launched Blue Project, a global effort to promote the protection of our ocean. Through this initiative, SHISEIDO and World Surf League (WSL) have collaborated on a series of activities that promote respect for our oceans. These activities include cleaning up beaches, oyster restoration, leading global initiatives like WSL One Ocean, and promoting skin sun safe habits.

Most recently (for the fourth year in a row), SHISEIDO Blue Project partnered with WSL One Ocean and WILDCOAST for its annual beach clean-up at the 2024 WSL US Open of Surfing.
