Guy Tang has always been one of my favorite colorists for his red hair creations. I was lucky enough to be a client of his for several years and I would always get compliments on my color. Sometimes people would stop me on the street to ask where I got my hair done. I’m still wowed by all of Guy’s amazing color work, especially his reds.

Recently, his #Mydentity brand launched the Warm Color Collection which includes rich copper, vibrant red, and golden brown hues in four permanent and two demi-permanent pre blended shades. Both the demi-permanent and permanent shades are designed to improve shine. The permanent colors provide up to 100% gray coverage and the demi-permanent shades are made for gray blending. 

I knew this collection was going to be really good, so I was excited when I got the opportunity to check it out with a visit to Sierra Kerner at Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood. Sierra used the Warm Collection on me to brighten up my hair, and I loved the results. My hair looked glossy and vibrant after being colored and styled with the #Mydentity Warm Collection and styling products.

Base: 7nb/ sliver 5nb

Bowlyage with magnum 8 powder lightener and 40 vol

Toned with .5oz midnight flame 7 + .5oz twilight dream

I also got to see a beautiful variety of reds and golden browns that Sierra and her assistant Taylor Mikiska created on editors and influencers with the collection during my time at the salon. This copper makeover on publicist Carly Mehl was one of my favorite transformations, so I just had to share the before/after and formula for this one too!

1oz naked glow 9

.2oz midnight flame 7

.3oz clear with 6vol.

They filled with midnight flame and clear first just for a few minutes and then followed with naked glow.
