Week 12 of Weekly Wellness: Wellness Boosts for Morning, Noon and Night

This week’s favorite wellness products were found in the kitchen.

It’s no surprise that a major part of overall health and wellness comes from what we consume and put into our bodies. You are what you eat, after all!

For this week’s #WeeklyWellness2021, I’ve upped the ante in the kitchen with a few easy nutritional add-ons to help me out during each part of my day.

Week 11 of Weekly Wellness: Oligomer Does the Body Good

Nutrition and diet are constantly evolving for me. Wellness is about being energized, and the way we fuel the body can make or break how we feel in a big way. I have days where I down green smoothies and days where Cadbury Eggs take center stage—it’s all a balancing act. As a busy mom with young kids, these are a few ways I’ve added edible wellness into my week.

Morning: Vega Hello Wellness You’ve Got Guts

Blend-free and delicious, Vega’s new Hello Wellness Choc Cinnamon Banana Smoothie.

Nursing and chasing around a toddler creates quite the appetite. An appetite so intense, it needs to be curbed quick—before hangry sets in. I find that I’m the most hungry in the morning, especially between breakfast and lunch. Instead of snacking on overly salty or sugary temptations, I’ve been making a plant-based protein drink to sip throughout the AM.

Week 10 of Weekly Wellness: Take a Breath Inward

Vega’s new Hello Wellness line caught my attention right away. Featuring simple and blender-free smoothie mixes, I’ve enjoyed the Choco Cinnamon Banana flavor that promotes gut health. My morning ritual has included one scoop of Vega powder + ice + almond milk for 15g protein from pea and pumpkin seeds. It’s not very often I can find something with zero sugar, but Vega delivers bringing prebiotic fiber and probiotics into the mix to support good gut bacteria.

Price: $29.99 (about 14 servings)

Noon: Rae Energy Drops

Rae Wellness Energy Drops are designed to revive + invigorate without the crash.

The afternoon crash is the real deal. Since I’m not a coffee drinker, I was really excited to discover another source of energy in the form of vegan energy drops from Rae Wellness. B vitamins and thiamine are blended with a touch of caffeine to increase energy at the cellular level for a natural boost without the crash. This week I’ve been bright-eyed every afternoon after adding a dropper in my herbal tea or water. When added to water, I noticed a slight vitamin-like taste, so I added fresh fruit to my H2O to combat it.

Overall, this wellness elixir has been a useful one to keep on hand. I was happy to learn the brand is not only founded by women, but donates 5% of all revenue to Girls Inc., to inspire girls to be strong, smart, and bold.

Price: $14.99 (approximately 60 servings)

Night: Kindroot Adaptogems Lozenges – Snooze

Formulated by an herbalist and blended by a candy hall-of-fame scientist, Kindroot is aromatherapy for your mouth.

Daylight Savings threw me for a loop this spring and had me up and active way past my bedtime. Luckily, I remembered I had picked up a snooze solution in the form of wellness lozenges from Kindroot containing melatonin and ashwagandha. Melatonin promotes sleep while ashwaganda, a healing plant, is designed to calm and de-stress. A thoughtful lavender ‘nilla flavor in a silky lozenge has me feeling like I’m sneaking candy before bed.

Within 30 minutes of taking Snooze, I feel extremely chill and ready to snuggle into bed—a welcome change for my husband who is always encouraging me to slow down and come to bed! I’ve slept great every time I’ve taken Snooze and have loved their daytime adaptogem blends for mood, immunity, and focus just as much.

Price: $19.99 (20 lozenges)

Available: Kindroot.com
