Week 9 of Weekly Wellness: mask.sip.love with Beauteani

Trying out the aromatic and supercharged SRSLY SOAK’D peel-off mask.

For this week’s #weeklywellness2021 challenge, I combined two favorite well-being go-tos: facial masks and herbal tea, multi-tasking and creating self-love inside and out. I'm a sucker for beauty sets/kits and was blown away when I opened Beauteani’s limited-edition mask.sip.love kit featuring eight modeling facial masks and corresponding herbal teas. This was the  jackpot of wellness, because what’s better than a facial mask? A facial treatment mask and a hot cup of tea, of course!

Week 8 of Weekly Wellness: A Full-Body Acid Peel with Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare

I was able to try two mask/tea combinations over the course of the week, which brings a smile to my face as I look back. The brand’s packaging and product names are sleek and clever, but the entire user experience is what had me coming back for more. Each mask comes with a gel pack and a sachet of dried active ingredients to be blended together for a skin-loving concoction of beauty paste. This step really felt spa-like, mixing a fresh jelly mask with herbal aromatic ingredients took me back to my days in the treatment room as an esthetician.

The first set I tried was SRSLY SOAK’D peel-off mask + tea. The potent mask power contains lavender, olive leaf, and rosemary, and was mixed with the moisturizing algin and sunflower seed gel. The mask felt cool upon application and had the herbal actives visible throughout the mixture. While I masked, I boiled water for the SRSLY SOAK’D tea—a fruity blend of apple pomace, a digestive aid, hibiscus, and black currant  for antioxidants and soothing properties. I don’t often drink tea, but could see myself converting to regularly sipping this blend of sweet/sour/tart.

Week 7 of Weekly Wellness: Climate-Controlled Skin Care

I masked, sipped, and worked while masking much longer than the 15-minute instructions advised, then peeled off the mask that dried. Through glowing, my skin was a bit pink because the mask was overly dry. Luckily, it was bedtime, and my skin looked and felt wonderful the next morning. Word to the wise: always follow the instructions!

SRSLY SOAK’D tea: caffeine-free, fruity, and sweet.

Week 6 of Weekly Wellness: Olive & June At-Home Manicure

A few days later I broke open the Because, Life mask and tea combo, which didn’t disappoint. Since I knew how easy the mixing process was, I took it all into the tub for some mask.sip.soak action. Revitalizing and purifying, the active power contained oats, cornflower, and calendula to calm, soothe, and mattify skin.

Once mixed, there is a generous amount of product to go around. I brought the mask onto my next and hands while relaxing in warm bubbles. The Because, Life Tea was calming and cooling with peppermint, lemongrass and ginger root for a revitalizing feel while remaining caffeine-free.

Week 5 of Weekly Wellness: Two Steps to Shiny Hair

Talk to the hand featuring Because, Life.

I loved learning how Beauteani started. It turns out founder Arpeeta Oberai was inspired after traveling to India, immersing herself in the world of tea. A supercharged healing powerhouse for more than 4,000 years, she believed in the ancient herbal remedies of tea, using it as the base to her line. Simple yet powerful, Oberari hopes to help spread self-love and well-being through supercharged ingredients for a supercharged life.

I’m looking forward to trying the other mask and teas in the mask.sip.love pack, the glow/sooth version called No Shade and the firming pick I.D. Please. I can’t wait to watch this brand grow! Masks and teas can be purchased in sets, duos or individually.

Cost: $70 for the Limited-Edition Kit (8 masks/8 teas)
