Wild Flour Celebration

Cuyama is hosting a culinary experience weekend filled with flowers and flour.

Cuyama is hosting a culinary experience weekend filled with flowers and flour.

The Culinary Program at Cuyama Buckhorn is rooted in the celebration of two foundational elements: locally and humanely sourced ingredients and heritage cooking techniques. We curate one-of-a-kind culinary experiences in partnership with our local farms and ranches; highlight the legacy of our local Cuyama Cuisine; and create a platform for chefs, farmers and artisans to come and be inspired by our Hidden Valley of Enchantment and share their passion with our guests.

Cuyama’s second culinary experience, Wild Flour celebration, is inspired by the incredible wildflower blooms of the valley in the spring. To celebrate this time of year they are hosting a weekend filled with flowers and flour! The Wild Flour weekend features yoga, a bread-making class, a screening of Carrizo Plain - A Sense of Place, a special dinner with wine pairings, and wildflower walks and discussions of heritage grains and milling. Cuyama is proud to partner with Tehachapi Heritage Grain Project, Guest Chef Alison Trent, Sommelier Elaina Leibee, Bakers Outpost of Bakersfield, Apiary Ciderworks & Meadery, Condor’s Hope Vineyard, Blue Sky Center and Good Eye Films for this special weekend!
