Spa Review: Larchmont Sanctuary Spa Is a Cozy Oasis of Relaxation and Pampering
Larchmont Sanctuary Spa is a boutique spa located in the historic Larchmont Village neighborhood of Los Angeles.
I recently visited Larchmont Sanctuary Spa for a day of relaxation. Located in the historic Larchmont community in the heart of Los Angeles, it’s a cozy oasis of relaxation and pampering. Having spent the day there, it’s easy to see why it was recently voted one of the 12 best spas in Los Angeles by Angeleno magazine—and my experience did not disappointment.

Upon entering you are immediately greeted with calm soothing music. The locker rooms include a changing area, showers and of course the of comfiest robes. The pre-treatment lounge is its own separate sanctuary with an inviting fire place, heavenly furniture, and of course, spa water.

It offers an intimate environment that is perfect for quality time with friends and family.
Natural and organic ingredients are used in the spa treatments.
The product they use and retail are free of chemical preservatives, artificial fragrances, and are cruelty free.
The spa has a kind and knowledgeable staff.
A variety of services are offered including waxing, spa treatments, and hydrotherapy.
Spa guests can enjoy a relaxing soak in the spa’s Copper Bath as part of its luxury packages.
I started the day with the Copper Bath Experience (only available with one of the luxury packages) where I was immersed in the spa’s private oversized copper tub. The water is the perfect temperature and infused with essential oils and healing algae essence. You know when your time is up when the jets on the tub turn off. It was a moment to be alone with my thoughts—the ultimate experience in relaxation and stress relief. The complimentary champagne was the cherry on top.
The bath was followed by the 75-minute Head Over Heels Massage. My therapist made sure that the massage was customized to my own specific needs, focusing on any problem areas. I have a lot of back and neck pain and can definitely improve my posture. She shared many helpful tips and told me what I could do on my own to help ease my pain.
She was very friendly, kind, and thoroughly listened to any concerns I had to ensure the best experience possible. She made it a point to confirm that I was comfortable with the pressure level. I was able to choose my preferred scent for the massage oil. I truly felt like a new woman!
Candles and complimentary champagne further enhanced the experience.
The final service I received was the 60-minute Skin Ritual Facial. Using medical-grade Environ products, this facial was like none I had ever experienced before. My esthetician made sure to ask about my specific skin type and any concerns I had.
Extractions were a part of the facial, and she was extremely gentle on my skin. At 40 years old, my skin concerns include fine lines and pigmentation issues. LED light therapy was incorporated into the service and my skin felt plump and youthful after the treatment.
I also experienced the Skin Ritual Facial, which incorporates medical grade vitamin-rich Environ products and LED light therapy.
I am of the belief that self-care is never selfish. Taking the time to take care of your body and mind can go such a long way in stress relief and pain reduction. I could not have had a better experience at Larchmont Sanctuary Spa. I can’t wait to go back with family and friends. It is truly a hidden gem in Los Angeles!
