3 Tips to Get You Out of Your Skin Care Rut

Sometimes it can be hard to figure out an easy skincare routine that works for your skin. There are so many product options and skincare ingredients, which makes it overwhelming to choose a few that are right for you. If you want to take better care of your skin but don’t know where to start, licensed esthetician and skincare therapist Runchana Ball is here to help. Here, she shares her tips and tricks for an easy skincare routine that will help you feel more confident.

1. Tone it up

After cleansing your face two times a day, use a toner to pull out any impurities that stay in your skin. “Toning is essential because it restores the pH balance of your skin.” Ball says.

2. Invest in a Good Acid

“Vitamin A stimulates healthy skin at the cellular level, while vitamin C lightens, brightens, and tightens your skin” says Ball. “Hyaluronic acid plumps and hydrates, leaving you with a youthful bounce.” You can use these acids in the morning by choosing a product that has a combination of all three, but make sure you use SPF to protect your skin from UV rays during the day.

3. Exfoliate

Exfoliate your skin and follow up with retinol cream at least two times a week to promote cell turnover. “I always recommend my clients take a biotin supplement, like Vitafusion, to help in the production of new skin cells and give them a vibrant glow to complement their skincare routine,” Ball says.
