Whether you’re participating in GWD festivities or simply looking for ways to incorporate wellness into your daily life, Stella Luna, master yoga trainer and founder of Stella Luna Yoga Studio in Buena Park, CA shares her top 8 wellness tips that will enhance your daily well-being.
1. Yoga and Meditation Are Not a Luxury, They Are Requirements
Try every kind of yoga with all different teachers until you find your style and your teacher. Be like a bee and seek from all kinds of flowers.
2. Drink Clean Water
Plastic water bottles are usually not more than filtered tap water so purchase a filtration system. I recommend findaspring.com.
3. Meditation Doesn’t Need to be Complicated
Try just sitting still for two minutes a day.
4. Practice Is Key to a Successful Life
Upon waking when you’re thinking about your day, figure out when you’re going to do your meditation and exercise routine.
5. Practice Living Gratitude
Write a card or a note to someone you love “just because.” This is living gratitude.
6. Schedule Joy in Your Life
When you plan your week, schedule time for yourself to do things you love that don’t necessarily have meaning or purpose but bring you internal joy.
7. Clean with Vinegar and Baking Soda
Vinegar and baking soda clean just about everything, are less expensive for your pocket and better for your endocrine system than cleaning products. Add some citrus and clove essential oil—they will make your house smell good too!
8. Avoid “Worry”
Stop saying the worry Sorry out of habit. Things happen. Save the word for when you really need to use it.
