Acqualina Spa by ESPA in Florida Reopens with New Safety Measures and Spa Experiences
Acqualina Spa by ESPA at Acqualina Resort in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, reopened its doors on June 15 and has implemented new health and safety measures for the comfort and safety of all spa and hotel guests, as well as residents. In addition, the Forbes Five Star has launched a new menu of curated spa experiences, along with the Acqualina Diet menu of healthy options to be enjoyed on the spa’s outdoor terrace with views of the Atlantic Ocean.

At present, the sauna, steam, and arctic ice fountain are unavailable, although guests are welcome to enjoy the outdoor pool and Jacuzzi area, and women’s and men’s relaxation lounges—each featuring a Himalayan Salt Wall.
As part of the enhanced health and safety program, the total capacity of the spa, pool, and Jacuzzi has been reduced for proper social distancing. All guests are required to complete a temperature check before entering the spa and wear a face covering while in the spa, except when they are lounging or receiving a spa treatment.
Rejuvenate EPA-approved chemicals are used to disinfect all areas throughout the spa, and team members have been certified with the Rejuvenate Infection Prevention Training while adhering to strict sanitization guidelines. Spa team members are also required to complete a temperature check before entering the spa and wear Personal Protection Equipment.
Additional time between treatments has been allocated for therapists to deeply sanitize the treatment room between each guest. All guests will be provided with sanitizing amenities throughout the spa, and asked to wash and sanitize their hands throughout their spa journey. Magazines will be available through the Acqualina App for guests to download on their personal devices.
New spa experiences on the menu include two new facials and a new body treatment using the Cryotherapy technology with the Pagani Cryo T-Shock, a revolutionary anti-aging device. The new treatments will alternate between hot and cold temperatures using the Cryo T-Shock to reducing the appearance of cellulite, treat sore muscles, as well as reduce inflammation and overall signs of aging.
The Acqualina Boutique within the spa has also been redesigned and includes a VIP Boutique Experience, which consists of a customized lifestyle experience with a dedicated Boutique Consultant. Guests can enjoy the spa retail area for one hour in total privacy, sip champagne, and receive an ESPA gift. Minimum purchase is $500 with a maximum of two people per appointment. The VIP Boutique experience is available every day at 6:30 p.m. and by appointment only.
“We have a passion for wellness caring for the mind, body and soul, always taking a holistic approach to deliver natural beauty and inner calm,” says Catherine Davalle, Director of Spa. “We are eager to welcome our guests back to Acqualina Spa offering the best and most innovative services, while maintaining a safe environment for everyone.”
