Beauty Boss: Liz Folce, Founder and CEO of Nakery Beauty
Our latest Beauty Boss is Liz Folce, Founder and CEO of Nakery Beauty—a line of clean and highly effective products that celebrate the feminine body and help people feel more confident about being naked in front of the mirror.
With over 35 years of experience in the beauty industry, which included executive roles at Estee Lauder, running a start-up brand, and a global executive role/TV spokesperson, Folce discovered a gap in the market for products that would address real issues that women face such as bumpy skin and cleavage wrinkles, among others. This ultimately led her to start her own product line that would help people while improving their confidence in life.
All of Nakery Beauty’s products are formulated with high-performance, safe and effective ingredients to deliver target solutions that deliver results. They avoid using harmful and unnecessary ingredients, don’t test on animals, and meet or exceed the standards of HSN Clean Beauty, QVC Clean Beauty, and Clean at Sephora.
We chatted with Folce, who shared the inspiration behind the brand, secrets for success, wellness tips, favorite beauty products, and much more.
When was Nakery Beauty founded and what does the name mean?
Nakery was founded in April 2022. As I was building the foundation of the brand, I did countless focus groups with women and men all over the world, as well as interacted on social media, and even in everyday conversations—and so many of you out there told me that you are afraid of the mirror, that you weren’t feeling confident, and even that you avoid looking in the mirror until you are dressed so you don’t have to see your naked body! You have spent so much time being talked to, and not being heard about our wants and needs. I once had someone tell me, “I don’t expect to go naked all the time, but it sure would be nice to feel good while I am!” And that is where the soul of Nakery was born.
What inspired the creation of the brand?
I have been in the beauty industry over (gasp!) 30 years, starting behind the counter, then in front of the camera, in the labs, and everywhere in between—and I've always had a personal pursuit to find the most innovative ingredients to create the best possible formulas that deliver the best results. Working for other brands I didn’t always have that opportunity, no one was listening to the consumer and their real needs— whether beauty-related or even the not so pretty parts of beauty (like boob sweat!). So I wanted to take it on myself, and deliver solutions for those concerns! It wasn't about me, it was about the consumer. That's where Nakery Beauty was born.
The brand was inspired by men and women all over the world who were writing to me on social media, coming to my focus groups—it was all of you! It wasn’t my idea, it was all of your ideas—telling me about your boob sweat, your bat wings, your chafing, your eczema—your areas and not-so-pretty concerns and there wasn’t anything out there to help you. It was all of you telling me that you wanted to just dive into your facial cream, that you are using so many products for your face but only hydrators for your body. It was because of all of you!

Future plans for the brand?
Continuing to listen to the customer’s needs, to create products that are innovative, provide instant and longterm results, that exceed the customer’s expectations using unique and extremely powerful ingredients. Beyond focusing just on body products, we plan to also focus on the face with multitasking products that can be used from head to toe.

My customers and their stories are what inspire me every day!
Secret to success?
Stepping out of the norm! Continuing to push innovation boundaries and limits in search of the latest and greatest cutting-edge ingredients and technologies. Taking one day at a time! And lastly, always want to exceed people’s expectations—of myself, of the products I create, of my team, of everything!
Beauty secrets?
I have learned so many tips and tricks from customer reviews, messages, and conversations—but, for me, I’ve learned how our skin’s needs change due to so many factors—the environment we’re in, what we eat, how much water we drink, and so on. I like to rotate my skin care based on how I am living with and dealing with these factors, helping my skin get the best possible treatment in balance with what I’ve been putting in my body.
Wellness tips?
I have always believed how important it is that what goes on our body, goes in our body. The more we understand about our skin health based on the dynamics of our environment and our diets, the more we’re going to want to get specific about our skincare regimen. I see this trend becoming very much the norm.
Best advice?
To never settle. Not on formulas, timing, innovations, as more doors will close. Stay true to the brand, being transparent, staying honest—for example,, not just accepting a formula to make a timeline, not settling!
How do you like to relax?
Taking a nice long bubble bath and reading a book has become my new Sunday ritual.
