Behind the Brand: The Dairy's Stylish Phone Cases and Tech Accessories Combine Modern Technology With Beautiful Art

Coming from marketing and public relations backgrounds in the fashion and lifestyle worlds, Silvia Avramut and Cameron Parker always loved the creative side of their work, especially when it meant encouraging people to be authentic and live as their true selves.
In 2012, they launched The Dairy in Australia, which started with a line of phone cases. Since its inception, the brand has expanded into a line of stylish tech accessories and phone cases for iPhones, Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones that feature collaborations with top artists from the world. They also offer customizable cases and accessories that can feature a pattern, word/letter or image of one’s choosing.
“Back then, options were limited, most people had the same plain black cases,” Avramut and Parker say. “We thought, if fashion lets you show personality from head to toe, why not extend that to your phone? And that’s how The Dairy was born.”
Each design is printed with specialized printing technology that won’t fade, rub or scratch off, and to keep phones safe they use polycarbonate cases and also offer an ‘Armoured’ version for added protection. All customized and pre-designed phone cases can be made in three ways: SNAP (lightweight), Armoured (dual layer case), and Magsafe (includes all edge and full side protection, along with an elevated bezel to safeguard screens and cameras).
“Our goal was simple: to bring art to your phone,” Avramut and Parker say. “We wanted you to be able to carry creativity with you, spark conversations, make someone smile, and express something uniquely personal. With The Dairy, we now get to collaborate with an incredible community of artists, usually around 20–25 at any given time.”
We chatted with Avramut and Parker, who shared the inspiration behind the brand, its most popular products, future plans, and more.

When was The Dairy founded and what does the name mean?
Now you might be scratching your head wondering why on earth we’re called The Dairy…well, truth be told, there’s no epic heroic tale behind it or a heart-string-tugging story involving cows or a quest for the perfect glass of milk. Just a sunny day, a brainstorm session, and a name that stuck back in 2012.
What inspired the creation of the brand?
While we may not have a captivating backstory for our name, what we do have is a deep passion for art and personalisation. Our vision was to bridge two worlds: to temper the intensity of modern technology with the beauty and emotion of art.
Art has a way of bringing people together, of adding a sprinkle of joy to even the most ordinary moments. At The Dairy, we’ve made it our mission to bring that joy into your everyday life, starting with your tech accessories. A destination for artists and art enthusiasts alike. For those who create, and those who seek the beauty of original creations. Art keeps us curious. It connects ideas, expresses emotion, and plays with perspective. It brings us together to create unique moments born from universal experiences.
And hey, it helps knowing which phone & AirPods are yours in a sea of boring tech.

Tell us more about your phone cases and what makes them special.
At The Dairy, we see ourselves as a new kind of gallery, not bound by walls, but living in the digital world. Like the great galleries of the world (MoMA, Tate, The Whitney) we curate experiences that challenge, inspire, and tell stories through art. But instead of hanging on walls, our art lives in your hands, on your phone, and in the everyday objects that travel with you.
A gallery is more than a space; it’s a platform for dialogue, discovery, and self-expression. It’s where people come to see the world from different perspectives and connect with ideas beyond their own. The Dairy carries that same spirit, a place where creativity meets technology, where each collaboration invites people to see and feel something new.
We partner with artists and brands who share that creative courage, those who challenge norms, think differently, and lead with imagination. Like a gallery, we curate distinct voices, not to make them uniform, but to let each one shine.
We created The Dairy to bring creativity back into the objects we use every day.
Do you have a hero style? What’s your favorite?
It’s almost impossible to choose a favorite design! Every artist we collaborate with brings their own unique voice, style, and story. That’s what makes each collection so special. We’re really proud to be a platform that shares those stories through design.
We’re especially proud of our Custom Feature tool. It lets you personalise everything from your phone case to your AirTag, laptop sleeve or AirPods (to name a few), and our community has truly embraced it. The creativity we see is incredible. From photos of pets and family to meaningful, handwritten messages that make each piece feel so personal.
If you’ve seen us around, you might recognize some of our “hero” styles like the viral Garden Ribbon Cases by Jasmine Dowling or the Euro Summer and Hibiscus designs by BG. Studio.
