With the new year just days away, many of us are starting to set our fitness and wellness goals for 2020. One of the reasons that many people don’t always end up achieving these goals or stick them out in the long run is due to the cost—in addition to high monthly membership dues, many major fitness clubs and gyms also charge a bunch of other fees, which can put a strain on one’s finances.

Chuze Fitness makes wellness and fitness affordable and enjoyable with an array of amenities for an incredibly low cost starting at $9.99 a month, and not going above $39.99 a month. Its unique amenities range from hydromassages and a full-service juice bar to saunas and a pool, and more. Chuze Fitness believes that healthy living and wellness should be affordable and accessible to everyone regardless of economic status. It also has multiple locations in Arizona, California, Colorado and New Mexico.

We chatted with Billy Grenham, Chief Marketing Officer at Chuze Fitness, who shared more insight into the company, its background, and unique offerings.

In addition to a full-service gym, Chuze Fitness also offers team training options, a full service juice bar, saunas, and more.

When was Chuze Fitness launched?

It was launched in 2008.

How many locations are there?

There are currently 30.

What does the name mean?

Chuze simply means choice. Our clubs have so many amenities under one roof for an incredible price—you’ll never have to choose just one.

What makes Chuze unique from other places?

Our commitment to treating our members as family and our commitment to running exceptionally clean and well-maintained facilities. We make amazing fitness amenities (team training, infrared yoga, group classes, infrared sauna, a kids club, steam rooms, cycling, Aqua Fit) available to everyone while charging less than half of what you’d pay at a boutique studio. Fitness shouldn’t cost you an arm and a leg.

What do clients love about coming to Chuze?

Every time a member walks through our doors, they are treated with love, respect, and kindness. Our mission is to clean up the word “gym” by rethinking what a gym is. Whether you’re entering our clubs to break a new personal record or to work on a little self-care with a massage and a smoothie—we want members to feel empowered and inspired every time they walk through the doors. Our Chuze community is something we take a lot of pride in and we certainly notice all the love on social media. Community is our super power.

Are different membership and day pass options available?

  • We offer three membership tiers at most of our locations.

  • We also offer a free 7-day pass through our app that gives access to just about everything.

Future plans for the company?

We are going to continue to expand and continue to provide even more value to our members. The public has been overcharged and underserved by gyms for too long. We intend to change that one member at a time.
