Get Married Underwater at Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas

At Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas, guests can exchange vows underwater with a dive-certified minister.

Couples in search of a unique and once-in-a-lifetime wedding experience have the opportunity to exchange vows beneath the sea for an underwater wedding at Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas, where the coral bed serves as the altar and the wedding rings are presented in a seashell. A dive-certified minister will perform the ceremony, while an underwater photographer will be there to capture every detail. Couples can also adopt a coral to memorialize the occasion, then return for a future anniversary to see how it blooms.

Celebrate your nuptials with a dinner reception in SEA, the resort’s signature underwater restaurant.

For those that would prefer to stay dry during their wedding, the resort offers many other settings for exchanging vows, including a palm-fringed beach, a deserted island at sunset, on a private yacht, in a private overwater residence, or inside SEA—Kihavah’s signature underwater restaurant, where guests can watch fish swim past the floor-to-ceiling glass.

Guests can also get married on a palm-fringed beach or on a deserted island at sunset.

After the ceremony, couples can enjoy barbecued lobster and other delicacies prepared by a private chef and served by a butler along a candlelit stretch of beach. Upon returning to their private villa, guests can enjoy a Slumber Guru experience, which includes a candlelit bath soak with essential oils followed by side-by-side lavender oil massages. In the morning, newlyweds are served champagne breakfast in bed—the perfect start to forever.

Couples can also exchange vows on a luxurious private yacht.

Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas are located on a private island in the Maldives with 80 villas dotting lush grounds, offering premium privacy in paradise. Wedding packages start at $4400 for two people. The resort can accommodate weddings of up to 200 guests.
