Valmont Partners With The Cultivist to Present BAZAAR at Frieze New York
Frieze New York is one of four international art fairs hosted by Frieze, which was founded in 1991 and offers the opportunity to encounter an exceptional quality and range of artwork, featuring the world’s most exciting emerging talents together with iconic names in modern and contemporary art. For the past three years, The Cultivist has presented a special pop-up exhibition during Frieze Week.
This year, the global arts club continued the tradition with BAZAAR—a dynamic visual homage to the history of the souk—by inviting eight artists to transform the exhibition space into a treasure-filled wonder of activity and exchange. Featured artists included Aurora Robson, who designed a sculptural display; Robin Frohardt, who created a produce stand; a DIY T-shirt project by Rirkrit Tiravanija and Tomas Vu; and many more.
Luxury Swiss skin care brand Valmont, which has a long tradition and passion for art, partnered with The Cultivist to celebrate Frieze NY. The brand invited a select group to the VIP Opening Party of BAZAAR on May 1, and guests left with gift bags that included Valmont’s Prime B-Cellular Serum and Prime 24 Hour. The interactive event opened to the public on May 2.
Valmont’s commitment to the arts is embodied by the creation of the Valmont Foundation, the fourth pillar of the Valmont brand, an entity in its own right dedicated to supporting artists globally, discovering new talent, and collecting works of art.
