Recently, several friends and I checked in for a much-needed overnight escape. Our stay began with dinner at Laurel Brasserie & Bar, where we lingered over flavorful, thoughtfully plated dishes in the chic, European-inspired space.

A Touch of Tradition: Afternoon Tea
Another recent visit brought a completely different (yet equally magical) vibe. My daughter and I enjoyed Afternoon Tea at The Grand, a cherished tradition that’s as delightful for adults as it is for little ones.

Live harp music set the tone as we sipped fine teas and sampled delicate finger sandwiches, buttery scones, and dainty desserts. It’s a special, memory-making experience—perfect for birthdays, girls’ days, or simply a slow, beautiful afternoon.
For me, it was also a full-circle moment: years ago, my girlfriends hosted my baby shower at this very tea service, and now I had the joy of bringing my daughter to share in the tradition.
