The Foundation at Hearst Castle (formerly Friends of Hearst Castle), a nonprofit association that leads preservation and conservation of the historic landmark, has announced that reservations are available for two opportunities to enjoy an intimate, seated dinner on the sunporch of Hearst Castle’s Casa del Mar Cottage, followed by the chance to watch a Hearst-era film in the private theater.

Swim for a Cause This Summer in Hearst Castle’s Iconic Swimming Pools

Each evening will begin with a scenic ride up the iconic road leading to the property, where guests will dine on the glass-enclosed sunporch of an ornate cottage offering sunset views of the Pacific Ocean accompanied by fine wines. Afterwards, they can stroll through the beautiful gardens and make their way to the 50-seat movie theater for a classic film showing.

The unique fundraising experience was created by the Foundation at Hearst Castle for its members, although membership is open to all. Two seatings will be offered this Fall: Sunday, October 6 and Sunday, November 3, 2019. Spaces are limited to only 15 guests per seating and are expected to fill up quickly.

The fundraisers are only open to members of The Foundation, with annual membership starting at $42 per month. Each sitting requires an additional donation of $950 per guest. The nonprofit is focused on raising funds to support a full-time conservation staff, as well as expanding youth programs for underserved middle school students.
