The clinic opened its doors in 2016 and was founded by Dr. Adrienne O’Connell, an expert aesthetic and wellness specialist.
Dr. O’Connell has advanced training certificates in aesthetic procedures including PRP for the popular “Vampire Facelift” as well as hair rejuvenation. She also has advanced skills in Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, sclerotherapy, skin rejuvenation and resurfacing with CO2 lasers and light therapy, microneedling, and PRP (platelet rich plasma).

Aside from aesthetic procedures, Dr. O’Connell also offers wellness therapies such as IV hydration, which treats issues ranging from hangovers and jet-lag to fatigue and dehydration; and Lipotropic injections (Lipo-B), which contain essential vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that help boost liver strength and overall health. In addition to in-office hydration treatments, Dr. O’Connell offers home visits so that clients can enjoy the benefits in the comfort of their own homes.

We spoke with Dr. O’Connell, Founder of Laguna Beach Aesthetics, to learn more about her practice, the services she specializes in, skin issues she treats, and more. .
When was Laguna Beach Aesthetics founded?
Laguna Beach Aesthetics was founded in April 2016. I completed residency in 2014 and then furthered my aesthetics training and became board certified in Aesthetic Medicine in 2016. I opened Laguna Beach Aesthetics with myself being the sole provider and operator. I answered the phones, booked appointments, performed all consultations and treatments. Laguna Beach Aesthetics was and still is a very concierge medical practice.
What do clients love about Laguna Beach Aesthetics?
My clients love the concierge service and that I am the main provider. I am very hands on and involved in all my patients’ care. I customize each one of my patient’s’ treatments to fit them and their skin type.
What services do you offer?
We offer an array of aesthetic and wellness services. We offer a variety of injectables; neuromodulators including Botox, Xeomin, Dysport and Jeuveau. We carry the Restylane line of Fillers as well as Profhilo and Skinvive (pure hyaluronic acid that is injected superficially to hydrate and plump the skin).
We also offer Sculptra, which is an injectable bio-stimulator that stimulates collagen production. We offer various lasers that treat anything from wrinkles to unwanted hair. We offer Microneedling with and without Radiofrequency. We have a skin tightening treatment as well as a fat-burning treatment.
We offer photo facials with our IPL machine. We do Chemical Peels, which vary in strength from a lunchtime peel to a very aggressive peel. We also offer Aquagold, which is micro-channeling. I also perform Sclerotherapy, which is a modality to get rid of unwanted varicose and spider veins.
And lastly for our aesthetic services, we offer Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments for not only facials, but for hair restoration as well. In terms of wellness, we offer IV Hydration, Vitamin shots, and NAD Therapy.
Do you have a specialty or signature treatment?
I love adding Sculptra to our Potenza treatment (Microneedling with Radiofrequency). The two modalities combined together offer a synergistic effect in resurfacing the skin while stimulating collagen and elastin. They individually give amazing results, but when added together the results are that much better!
What’s your favorite treatment on the menu?
My favorite treatment is the Aquagold. It is our red carpet facial. It is microchanneling; it delivers ingredients like Botox, Filler, Hyaluronic Acid, PRP, vitamin C, and Glutathione (to name a few) to the top layers of the dermis. It gives your skin that celebrity dewy, tight glow we all are striving for!

What product lines do you carry?
We don’t really carry any product lines other than a stem cell line called Calecim. We offer a stem cell serum and stem cell multi-action cream. I love pairing the stem cell serum with our various lasers and Microneedling treatments. And I like the multi-action cream for an everyday moisturizer.
