The Desert Hot Springs, California resort offers over 30 specially curated spa services, an authentic Himalayan salt room, yoga, healthy dining, and poolside relaxation. The destination also offers Yoga and Juice Fasting Retreats (6 days/5 nights) to help attendees renew and rejuvenate.

We chatted with Maria Lease, Managing Director at Azure Palm, to learn more about the destination and its wellness offerings.

I think guests will most love our Spa Suites. The focal point of the expansive, high-ceiling Spa Suites are our large concrete mineral spring soaking tubs. With stunning views of the Santa Rosa Mountain range, guests can relax and restore in fresh mineral water delivered right from out of the earth into their private soaking tub. The spacious rooms combine elements of earth and sky, accentuated by artisan woodwork and geometric prints.

Yesenia’s Vida Cleanse is a comprehensive Yoga and Juice Fasting Retreat where you can enjoy the powerful, healing benefits of our natural, mineral springs during your fast. Its popularity is due to many reasons: it takes a holistic approach including hiking, yoga, colonics and daily educational classes, meditation, and concludes with a sound bath session.

Wellness offerings:

We have five mineral water pools and soaking tubs, all filled with natural, geothermally heated mineral water emerging from the ground at 174 degrees rich with healing, restorative minerals. The hotter the water, the greater concentration of minerals in this crystal clear, silky, odorless mineral water. We have a yoga studio currently offering virtual yoga sessions with in person classes in the future.

The Azure Palm Café is located on site and open from breakfast to early evening to start and end your day with healthy eating such as organic salads, local chef-inspired dishes, coffee bar, pressed juices, and a selection of wine and beer. The walls of our Himalayan Salt Room are heated with hot water circulating among the walls, releasing negative ions from the salt rocks, which contain 84 minerals and trace elements. The calming and detoxifying effects of halotherapy can support the immune, nervous, and lymphatic systems while providing blissful relaxation.

Key features:

One of the appeals of Azure Palm Hot Springs is that our expansive property houses so many amenities with even more planned for the future. We have five mineral water pools on-site, including the 100’x40’ main pool maintained at 85 to 90 degrees year-round, and four outdoor and indoor hot mineral water pools; an expansive lounging area, and a dry sauna on our pool deck. Inside, we have the only Himalayan Salt Room in the Coachella Valley, a full-service spa offering over 30 specially designed spa treatments, 12 treatment rooms, yoga studio, boutique, and an on-site café.

Our 500-square-foot spa suites feature in-room private mineral water soaking tubs with a choice of king bed or king and queen. Rooms feature ceiling fans, views of majestic Mt. San Jacinto, and include complimentary access to the Himalayan Salt room. Our 350-square-foot west balcony rooms command a sunset view of Mt San Gorgonio and the Santa Rosa mountains. Our rooms are appointed with natural desert textiles designed to help guests relax.

Signature Treatment:

The Azure Body Polish is the first stop for our guests. The treatment is designed to remove all the dead, surface skin cells, opening and cleansing the skin pores. This enables the guest to better absorb sulfur, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, and trace mineral elements including lithium to help restore the body.
