Insider’s Tip: We recommend the use of the hydrotherapy area one hour before the reserved treatment for a heightened sense of relaxation during each guest’s session, to restore energy and for maximum wellness benefits. Swimsuits are required in the hydrotherapy area.

Bonus: We welcome our guests with a shot of a natural infusion drink with fruits, fresh mint, green tea and honey. Then, when they are in the relaxation lounge, guests await their therapists with a hot, aromatic herbal neck wrap, a choice of herbal teas, water and soothing music.

As for the natural infusion drink of choice, guests have a selection between ginger and lime (fresh ginger, Yucatecan lima and lime leaves), lemongrass and cardamom (lemongrass, cardamom and agave honey), passionfruit and rosemary, watermelon and basil, pineapple and coconut oil, and melon and lemon. All the ingredients were chosen for their natural, antioxidant-rich properties and vitamins and minerals which support various health functions.

Comfortable loungers are available for guests in the spa’s courtyard.

Splurge Treatment: I love recommending the Cannabi 7 90-minute massage experience to new guests. The experience starts with a bamboo exfoliation to subtly remove dead skin cells and activate blood circulation. The guest is then massaged with cannabis sativa seed oil for its benefits, complimented by the soothing touch of hot stones for instant relaxation and a feeling of well-being.

The “7” in the Cannabi 7 treatment refers to the benefits of cannabis oil. Containing vitamins, minerals and anti-inflammatory antioxidants, it nourishes, moisturizes, soothes, protects, regenerates and softens the skin and gives a sense of well-being.

The spa’s hydrotherapy area offers several outdoor whirlpool tubs for relaxation.

Unique Treatment: Our most unique treatment is the Lomi Lomi experience. I always say that there’s no better place to try this traditional Hawaiian massage technique inspired by the power of the ocean and the ebb and flow of the waves than at the Alea® Spa. With its rhythmic stroking and stretching, the Lomi Lomi experience is simultaneously relaxing as it is invigorating.

Insider’s Favorite: For me, a 90-minute Swedish massage is the perfect way to relieve tension and soothe sore muscles.

For a touch of magic on an evening in the Mexican Caribbean, I also love recommending the Moon & Stars Swedish massage. Set under a pergola on an oceanfront terrace, the sound of the waves and the soft breeze lulls our guests as the therapist eases their muscles.
