Swedish, Thai, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, and Shiatsu techniques are combined to create the beginning of a wonderful customized relaxation journey. We chatted with Spa Manager Genesis Revilla, who offered insider tips, special spa bonuses, treatments to try, and more.

Insider’s Tip: My tip to all clients is to enjoy the spa's facilities before going into their spa treatment. Relax and forget about your mobile phone once you step in. Disconnect from any causes of stress. Also, feel free to ask for add-on services like facial ampoule application, where we clean the face and apply the highest concentration of active ingredients such as collagen, hyaluronic acid, or extract of wild indigo extract to calm and soothe the skin.

Snacks Served: Chlorophyll water, tea, coffee, infusions, and a variety of green drinks. For snacks we have raisins, almonds, nuts, almonds, dry fruits, tropical fruits, gluten-free cookies, and chips.

Insider’s Favorite: I have so many favorites. However, I think the one I’m the biggest fan of is the Milk Bath, which offers deep hydrating benefits. While you're inside the bath, the therapist performs a scalp massage. That is heaven to me.

Splurge Treatment: The most luxurious treatment is our Sanctuary Sign, which includes an exfoliation and deep hydration with Mediterranean salts, an 80-minute combination massage with five different techniques (stretching, relaxing, deep tissue, aromatherapy, and reflexology) and a basic skin-cleansing facial. This treatment leaves the client feeling recharged to enjoy the rest of the trip or set to return home.

Unique Treatment: I consider the Taíno’s Sensations Body Treatment to be the most unique service on our spa menu. It involves enzymatic body peeling with amber extract, the national stone of the Dominican Republic. The therapist exfoliates the client’s body with a handmade clay stone inspired by the indigenous Dominican culture, followed by a 50-minute warm massage that combines relaxation with aromatherapy.
