We interviewed Spa Director Punahele Kualii, who shared insider tips, recommended treatments to try, and more:

Why You’ll Love It: Our guest love the size of our spa and all that we offer. They feel we are able to offer a more personal experience as opposed to large day spas. We have many team members that have been with us for many years and our returning guests love to come back and see familiar faces.

Key Features: We offer a eucalyptus steam room, dry cedar sauna, Jacuzzi tub, and a relaxation lounge areas in both the men’s and women’s locker room. We also offer a large pool-size Jacuzzi tub and relaxation lounge that can be enjoyed by our male and female guests together.

The Spa at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino offers guests a serene sanctuary where they can relax away from the busy Vegas scene.

Bonus: All of our adult guest can enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne, red or white wine, white zinfandel, Corona or Sierra Nevada.

Spa Snacks: When our spa is fully open, we offer a wide range of snack and beverages including trail mix, banana chips, pretzels, and fresh fruit. We also bring in special holiday snacks like pink chocolate-covered pretzels for Valentine’s Day. For beverages, we offer an assortment of coffees and teas, bottled water, fruit-infused water; and orange, pineapple, grapefruit, cranberry, and apple juices. For our guests that are 21 and over, we offer one complimentary champagne, red or white wine, white zinfandel, corona or sierra Nevada. For more dining and drink options, we also offer a full room service menu that guests may order from.

Insider’s Tip: Always book in advance. This helps to ensure you have all the services you are looking for at the times you are looking for, as well as any special requests, such as a gender preference for therapist.

Unique Treatment: That would be our Sticks Massage. This exotic treatment utilizes warmed bamboo sticks, which are used in rhythmic strokes to decompress sore muscles while detoxifying and soothing the skin.

Insider’s Favorite: My favorite service hands-down is our Stone Massage. The heat from the stones helps to penetrate sore muscles. This is especially beneficial for my knots in my upper back and my problem shoulder.

Splurge Treatment: Our Best Package would be the best thing to “splurge” on. It is almost five hours of pure relaxation. This package includes an 80-minute buff and massage, 80-minute custom facial, our signature 50-minute manicure, and 50-minute pedicure.

Featured Products: We currently offer Eminence Organic Skin Care, which is a world-renowned, all-organic product line, as well as Image Skincare and European Spa Source. European Spa Source provides our eucalyptus oil for our steam rooms. We also have three different scents that guests may purchase for use in their shower. This helps to bring home a piece of the spa and turn their hot shower into a eucalyptus steam room experience.
