Snacks Served: In the past we have offered a locally-inspired tasty treat from our culinary team of assorted flavors of mocha mini muffins, along with locally sourced Mamaki Tea, which is known for its antioxidant properties and helps promote cardiovascular health and decrease stress levels. As we continue to work toward the reopening of our resort and Spa Montage, we are brainstorming ways to safely continue to offer our luxury experience.

For example, an offering of our wellness drink of guava nectar and Awa before beginning your service to help you relax. We source our Awa from the Big Island, but this root can be found all over Polynesia and is known for its relaxing effects on the mind and body.

Unique Treatment: Something that makes many treatments unique at Spa Montage is the partnership with Pohala, founded by Hawaiian native, Ke’oni Hanalei, and inspired by his Maui grandmother, a powerful medicine woman. This partnership has allowed Spa Montage to adopt biodynamic principles.

If I had to choose just one, the Blissful Bath Ritual body therapy is a 90-minute treatment in the relaxation of your own private hale. Guests experience weightlessness floating in a stone-carved tub with a choice of ocean-inspired botanicals (either a chamomile bubble bath to release stress or a mineral salt bath to sooth aches and boost immunity), followed by a completely customized massage.

Spa facilities include a cascading whirlpool where guests can relax before and after their treatments.

Splurge Treatment: The Masterpiece Facial Therapy is the ultimate splurge-worthy treatment. This 90-minute treatment is pure bliss for anti-aging perfection and cellular renewal. Exclusively designed for Spa Montage, The Masterpiece is complete with six masks including a collagen treatment, and provides brightening elements with Vortex suction, and a combination of salicylic and glycolic acid peels to remove impurities and fight age acceleration. This treatment includes a luxurious hand and foot treatment, and can be further elevated to include a Hydrafacial Infusion for an extra 30 minutes of pampering. ($650 for 90 min, $825 for 120 min)

Insider’s Favorite: For the ultimate body and mind reset, my go-to relaxing treatment is the Maui Maluhia. This 120-minute experience has it all, beginning with reflexology massage to calm your mind and body, followed by a full-body dry brush and sea salt foot scrub to exfoliate and enhance circulation. Then a cozy cocoon with a custom-blended algae mask utilizing red, white, and green algae mixed specifically for what your body needs. It ends with a customized massage with Laminaria algae oil to soothe, moisturize, and restore skin. ($405 for 120 min)

Featured Products: At Spa Montage Kapalua Bay, all massage treatments feature Pohala Botanic Oils, which are produced using indigenous plants from each island (Big Island, Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and Lanai). The plants are foraged during specific timed phases of the moon to ensure plants are harvested at the most opportune time to showcase their medicinal qualities.
