A unique three-story sanctuary in Brooklyn, New York, The Green Spa & Wellness Center was founded in 1998 by Maureen and Sheila Brody, and Maria Ingardia. The green, eco-conscious day spa features 14 treatment rooms with duo treatment suites, as well as a hand and foot care lounge. Complimentary consultations are offered for the newest cutting-edge services such as microblading, acupuncture, special occasion makeup, and Feng Shui/Chinese astrology, and more.

In addition to relaxing spa and wellness treatments, The Green Spa & Wellness Center hosts special events and classes including Reiki circles, aromatherapy, hypnosis, coaching/mentoring, and other offerings. We spoke with Maureen Brody, Co-Founder of The Green Spa & Wellness Center, who shared insider tips, treatments to try, and more.

Many of our services are designed specifically towards pre-natal needs, and all of our therapists who provide these services have continued education and certifications. In addition, we offer oncology-friendly services that were designed around someone who may be going through cancer treatments, so the products are pure and the therapists have additional certifications and training to cater to the specialized needs of these guests.

Key Features: We are a three-story luxury wellness center. We have an antique cast iron tub for detoxifying soaks and a steam room with a Swiss shower that has nine jets that hit you in all directions. We have two larger massage rooms, where we can accommodate couples and friends that would like to enjoy their services side-by-side, as well as a nail lounge that is large enough for a group or couple to enjoy treatments next to their loved ones. On each floor we have a full bathroom and showers, as well as a relaxation lounge.

Insider’s Tip: We have our own in-house brand called Legend of the Spa, and we design all of the products to cater to our guests’ individual needs. They are used in our services and are available for home care. It’s a complete vegan line and is all-natural without the use of chemical preservatives.

Snacks Served: We provide our specialty fine teas (both iced and hot), spa water featuring doTerra essential oils, fresh fruit, and our spa snacks.

Splurge Treatment: Microblading eyebrow tattoos by our brow design specialists using all-natural, vegetable-based organic dye.
