Key Features: In addition to its 10 beautifully designed treatment rooms and a full-service salon, The Rittenhouse Spa & Club has numerous amenities like a state-of-the-art fitness center and spacious pool that lend themselves to the full renewal experience. Our fitness center is directly adjacent to the spa and includes top-tier equipment including Peloton bikes and spacious windows that showcase the surrounding city and allow for natural light to shine through. The indoor heated atrium pool is one of the only saltwater pools in the city and is a favorite among guests. The eucalyptus sauna and steam room are also highlights and are ideal for a moment of relaxation after a workout in the fitness center.

Bonus: Wellness is a key focus for the programming at The Rittenhouse Spa & Club and with the ongoing trend of sleep tourism, we’ve introduced a signature Sleep Massage specifically designed around relaxing and “switching off.” When booked in the late afternoon or early evening, the treatment can support a shift into a calm, relaxed state which is more conducive to a restful night’s sleep. We initially introduced this treatment to support National Sleep Awareness Month in March and have transitioned it to a permanent offering on our menu.

Snacks Served: We offer both—guests can enjoy snacks including home-made granola directly from the property’s award-winning restaurant, Lacroix, as well as a curated food and beverage menu with highlights including radicchio salad and charcuterie.

Insider’s Tip: Beginning in June as part of The Rittenhouse’s five-star programming calendar, which is a celebration of the property being named the first and only independent Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Philadelphia, The Rittenhouse Spa & Club will launch its "Spa Under the Stars" astrology-inspired massage program.

With treatments taking place on the spa’s outdoor terrace under the stars, guests will have the option to select a treatment from a curated guide based on the four elements—fire, earth, air and water—that categorize the 12 zodiac signs. Each element has been expertly paired with a treatment best suited to complement the characteristics of its corresponding zodiac signs.

Customizable add-ons like aroma essential oils are also available, with each intended to support the traits associated with the zodiac signs to promote balance and harmony for the guest. Astrology massage sessions can accommodate up to two guests with individuals able to pick the pre-selected treatment best suited to them based on their zodiac sign, or select a different experience from The Rittenhouse Spa & Club’s wider menu.

NoMI Spa is comprised of three treatment rooms including one single and two doubles.

Splurge Treatment: A whole-being experience designed to pamper the mind, body and spirit, The Rittenhouse Elevated Experience is one of our most luxurious, over-the-top treatments. Ultra-hydrating and antioxidant-packed, the service begins with a CBD tea foot soak followed by a soothing sound bath to relax the mind. The experience then proceeds to a full-body application of our CBD-botanical powered oil to support rejuvenation and restoration. The guest is left feeling euphoric and refreshed with softened skin and a calmed state of mind.

Guests can also enjoy a wide range of beauty services in the full-service salon.

Unique Treatment: The Rittenhouse Signature Facial takes luxury to the next level, taking inspiration from chocolate and champagne to create a memorable experience. The treatment features a cocoa enzyme mask infused with real Hershey’s chocolate as a nod to our home state of Pennsylvania while the effervescence of oxygen molecules sweeping across the skin mimics the bubbles in champagne, delivering a rejuvenating sensation and rich nutrients to promote circulation and skin vitality.

A hydrating marshmallow mask leaves the complexion hydrated and glowing and the experience concludes with wrapped chocolate to savor and delight all of the senses. Our Warm Bamboo Massage celebrates the healing properties of bamboo and is another one of our more unique treatments. With warmed bamboo sticks utilized as a therapeutic tool to work deep into muscle tissue, the service incorporates Swedish and deep tissue massage techniques to relieve tension and assist with restoration of essential vitamins to increase circulation.
