The largest spa in Downtown Los Angeles, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Los Angeles is an 8,000 square-foot sanctuary of wellness and relaxation. Featuring a stunning interior inspired by the golden age of Hollywood, the red carpet treatment begins the moment guests walk in the door and are offered a glass of champagne. In addition to a co-ed sanctuary and a luxurious couples’ suite, the spa also has a boutique, separate lounges with eucalyptus steam rooms and cold-plunge showers, as well as a hair salon.

Guests can enjoy various offerings such as poolside yoga, and the menu of spa treatments incorporates locally-sourced ingredients and botanicals from the hotel’s very own rooftop garden. Services range from organic facials and massages to men’s treatments and makeup services. We chatted with Spa Director Tyneese Thompson, who shared insider tips and spa bonuses, treatments to try, and more.

Insider’s Tip: Non-hotel guests can gain access to The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles fitness center and 26th floor rooftop pool for an added fee. Normally reserved for our hotel guests, it makes for the perfect addition to a day of luxury and wellness.

Snacks Served: To enhance the experience, we offer dried seasonal fruits, a variety of nuts, fresh fruit, and yogurt pretzels. Beverages include fruit-infused water, rose-infused water on the weekends, and a robust selection of teas.

Insider’s Favorite: It’s hard to pick a favorite so I’ll give you two! I love the Champagne & Shimmer Body Treatment, one of our signature experiences. The treatment is inspired by Hollywood’s Golden Era and leaves skin firm, silky, and glowing. Champagne seeds and oils fight free radicals and soothe the complexion. A final dusting of 24-karat gold powder provides the ultimate indulgence and leaves a lasting luminance.

From our new Veuve Clicquot Collection, the Golden Glow Facial has become a new favorite. Inspired by the famed Yellow Label, the treatment utilizes a white fruit face scrub and vanilla extract serum, leaving the skin revived. It’s finished with a Knesko NANO Gold under eye mask infused with gold particles for the ultimate glow!

Splurge Treatment: Of course! The La Grande Dame experience from our new Veuve Clicquot Collection is certainly a special treat. Named after the premium Veuve Clicquot label, the couples treatment involves a crushed grape seed body scrub, followed by a bubbly mineral bath soak in our VIP couples suite for detoxing and anti-aging, and aromatherapy based on tasting notes of the famed vintage, apricot, pear, and cherry. Couples experiencing together even get an entire bottle of the famed vintage to enjoy during their time with us or to continue the experience at home.

Unique Treatment: As one of the first spas to offer CBD products in our wellness treatments, our CBD massage is certainly unique (and popular!) Guests can opt to start their therapy with a drop of CBD tincture under the tongue to encourage a sense of serenity, followed by a full-body massage using up to five activated hemp-based products.
