Why You’ll Love It: Considered the finest and most luxurious hotel spa in Santa Barbara, The Spa overlooks the Pacific Ocean and Channel Islands. Set between the award-winning Rose Garden at Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara and the resort’s Jungle Pool, The Spa was designed by world-famous architect Peter Marino and features a sophisticated contemporary décor that melds with traditional Spanish colonial architecture and finishes to create a uniquely fresh and classic environment.

Key Features: At 12,000 square-feet, the spacious Spa features an upper level relaxation space, expansive locker rooms with sauna and steam room, and 11 lavish treatment rooms. Treatment rooms include our ocean view Palm Suite for manicure/pedicure services, two private rooms dedicated to signature facial treatments, and three ocean view massage Spa Suites, including a luxurious VIP Suite for couples with an oceanfront private terrace. All Spa Suites offer sensorial steam showers with hydrotherapy and in-room bubbly soaking tubs.

Insider’s Tip: I like to spray a little eucalyptus in the shower before I enter, which turns the shower into an amazing mini-steam room. It’s really great for clearing sinuses during the cold season. There are several different companies out there that offer eucalyptus products for the shower. My favorite is European Spa Source’s Eucalyptus and Lemongrass Shower Spa Mist. Just a few spritzes will do the trick!

Bonus: Our guests are served coconut water after their treatment, and they can purchase the coconut water elixir as a take-home product.

Snacks Served: At the spa relaxation lounge we serve a variety of healthy snacks that we change seasonally. Currently we offer sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, dried apricots, almonds, and chocolate-covered ginger.

Unique Treatment: Not too many people are aware of the benefits of a dry pedicure, so I would say our Margaret Dabbs Pedicure. The feet don’t get soaked at the beginning of the treatment in order to avoid the skin and cuticles swelling with warm water. Calluses are much easier to remove if the skin is dry. Some of our regular guests were a bit apprehensive at first when we introduced our new pedicure, but after the service they couldn’t wait to come back for another.

Splurge Treatment: We are launching our most luxurious treatment—The Night Spa Experience—just for Valentine's Day. Couples are invited to step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and rediscover each other with Night Spa. Our spa facilities are exclusively yours from 9:00pm - 12:30am. You can use the steam and sauna together in the locker room before your couples massage (80-minutes) in the Westwind Suite. A flower bouquet will personalize your experience, and you may select from a specialized menu for the perfect occasion. Indulge in quiet time in the couples tub to conclude the perfect date night. Insider’s Favorite: My favorite is the Vinotherapy Treatment. It’s a custom-crafted exfoliating body treatment and a massage incorporating products from Santa Ynez wine country.
