Spa Profile: Waldorf Astoria Spa at Waldorf Astoria Park City

One of the top ski destinations in the world, Waldorf Astoria Park City in Utah offers guests a range of luxurious accommodations, high-end amenities, and acres of explorable terrain at its front door. After a day out on the slopes, relax and revive at the property’s Waldorf Astoria Spa, which has 15 treatment rooms and combines indulgent therapies designed to soothe, rejuvenate and replenish the body and soul with a client-focused approach to create a unique spa experience.

The spa’s comprehensive wellness program includes workshops and seminars, and offers a full array of wellness sessions that explore the mind, body, and spirit connection. There is also a custom-designed fitness center with a weekly schedule of classes, and a full-service beauty salon. We chatted with Spa Director Amy Mullen, who shared insider tips, special spa bonuses, treatments to try, and more.

Key Features: Expansive fitness center with an average of four complimentary classes per day (included when you book spa appointments), repose room in the women’s locker room, separate steam rooms for men and women, fireside lounge for relaxing, and access to the outdoor pool and hot tubs.

Bonus: Guests are served a healthy superfood smoothie “shot” at the end of their spa services. We also have a replenishing potassium broth that is available from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., made from scratch in the Powder Kitchen.

Insider’s Tip: Evenings are typically quiet. Book at 6 p.m. and you could have the spa to yourself until closing at 9 p.m.!

Snacks Served: Trail mix, fresh fruit, and a selection of teas. We have a spa menu from which guests can order food items such as artisan greens, Skuna Bay salmon, hummus and flatbread, and yogurt parfait.

Splurge Treatment: The Lymphatic Deep Detox Wrap (105 min/$325). It’s a customized wrap and lymphatic massage that starts with a body brushing, then a seaweed body wrap is applied to remineralize and release toxins from the skin. While soaking in the goodness, you’ll unwind with a lymphatic massage on the face and neck. Afterwards, relax with a full-body lymphatic massage tailored to your needs.

The spa also has a full-service hair and nail salon.

Unique Treatment: Mud Season’s Finest (75 min/$253). This body treatment uses a self-heating mud to rejuvenate dull skin and soothe tired muscles. There is a dry brush exfoliation, full-body wrap, and remineralizing lotion application to complete the treatment.

Insider’s Favorite: The Lavender Zen (75 min/$253). This treatment is so relaxing and features a great combination of lavender and eucalyptus scents. It begins with a wonderful body scrub, followed by a soothing full-body lotion application using rose porphyr stones on the back, then finishes up with a scalp and foot massage.
