Spa Review: Relache Spa at Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center Is the Ultimate Sensory Retreat of Wellness and Relaxation
Relache Spa at Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Aurora, CO is conveniently located only a few miles from the Denver International Airport, so anyone with a long layover could book a spa service to recharge before embarking on the second leg of their journey. Many people come to the resort and convention center for business or family vacations as there are plenty of amenities to enjoy.
Jocelyn Farmer, the Spa Director, told us that travelers and locals love to make a day of it when visiting the spa and resort because they offer more than just treatments.
“Our Spa STARs (associates) are truly masters of their craft and so extremely passionate about what they do,” says Farmer. “To lead a team that wants to heal and help our guests is such a privilege. We have also started to venture outside of traditional treatments, and are breaking into new territory, especially with our beWELL: The Therabody Wellness Suite.”
Spa guests can head to the Fitness Center and Arapahoe Springs Water Park (reserved for overnight guests and spa guests) before enjoying a number of services such as a Mother-to-Be Massage, Rapid Remedy CBD Body Treatment, Deluxe HydraFacial, manicures/pedicures, and for weary travelers, a Circadian Rhythm Tailored Facial to reduce the negative effects on the skin after a long flight.

I experienced the 100-minute Custom Massage ($390) with two add-on services. For the first add-on, I chose the essential oil scalp massage, which uses ESS Aromatherapy's Shirodhara Oil, specially formulated with sesame and sunflower carrier oils as well as lavender essential oil to further enhance relaxation.
Shirodhara is an Ayurvedic practice that involves gently pouring oil over the forehead and through the hair. The massage therapist told me I should leave it on for about two hours and apply shampoo directly to my hair and scalp before rinsing as that would help me to reap the full benefits of the treatment.
For my second add-on, I chose the PURE FIJI Nourishing Body Butter with Coconut Infusion, a luscious natural body butter made with cold-pressed organic coconut, dilo, macadamia and sikeci oils to rapidly hydrate skin and lock in moisture.
What’s more, the ultra-hydrating body butter enriches the skin with essential fatty acids and powerful antioxidants to soften, smooth and firm skin. Since it’s winter, I chose this cream because of the soothing and calming nature of passionflower.. The result: Pure smooth and silky skin from head to toe.
