The Beverly Hills Hotel Debuts Newly Renovated Spa
After seven months of extensive refurbishment and redesign, the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel unveiled its newly-designed spa on February 5. The new design of the Beverly Hills Hotel Spa evokes a sense of serenity while maintaining the playful attitude and chic sensibility. The thoughtful restoration was overseen by internationally renowned design firm, Champalimaud Design.

“The fresh and stylishly elegant new Spa at The Beverly Hills Hotel has brought a new, youthful, and cheeky personality to the overall hotel experience,” says Alexandra Champalimaud, founder and president of Champalimaud Design. “It has been a joy to develop this calming new gem for the hotel and its loyal clientele.”
Among the spa’s notable design changes include the relocation of the reception desk from the promenade to the interior of the spa, allowing guests to enjoy a more private check-in and check-out experience. A luxurious relaxation room has also been added so guests can enjoy time there before or after their treatments, and retail vitrines filled with luxury spa products are on display in the promenade.
The spa has four treatment rooms where guests can receive an array of body and facial treatments, in addition to a duet suite that can accommodate two guests at once. Each of the spacious treatment rooms are covered in a unique wall covering that was custom designed with Fromental to depict the vivid flora and fauna of California.
This theme is carried on in the reception area, nail treatment room, and relaxation lounge spaces where the hotel’s signature banana leaves have been layered into the design of the wall covering. A bold blue color inspired by the precious stone, Lapis Lazuli, is prominently displayed across the reception, lounge area, and nail treatment room. It is accompanied by a subtle cream and gold brick pattern wallpaper, as well as a stunning carpet that results from a collaboration between Champalimaud Design and TRC Lab.
Another feature new to the spa is the nail suite, which includes two pedicure chairs and a manicure area bathed in natural light from the nearby citrus garden. The locker rooms have steam showers and other spa amenities, and all treatment tables are equipped with warming heaters and a comfortable cushion system.
The spa embraces advanced technology, natural luxurious ingredients, and internationally-inspired wellness rituals to provide a range of exceptional treatments. Over 20 product lines will be featured throughout the spa menu including Natura Bisse, NuFace, Valmont, UMA, Skin Authority, and Knesko Skin.
“We are very much looking forward to providing our guests with an enhanced spa experience reflective of our ultra-luxury standards,” says Edward Mady, regional director and general manager. “Alexandra Champalimaud did a wonderful job incorporating the hotel’s iconic design scheme in a subtle yet striking way, allowing us to stay internationally relevant with the next generation of spa guests.”
