Silver Legacy at The Row offers entertainment and relaxation in the heart of Reno, Nevada. The destination is the newest and tallest casino hotel in Reno with spacious guest rooms and stunning city and mountain views. We caught up with George Powell-Lopez, Director of Spa and Wellness at The Spa at Silver Legacy, to learn more about recommended treatments, amenities, and more:
Why You’ll Love It: The spa is beautiful both inside and out. The views of the mountains from the fourth floor are a favorite; however, the attention to detail and the team of professionals are the reasons to keep coming back. I don’t know how many times I have been bidding our guests farewell and I ask them how their visit was…sometimes they can’t remember the name of the staff because they are so relaxed. However, I consistently hear, “Best massage I’ve ever had,” "Best facial I’ve ever had," "Best hair service," and the list goes on.
Key Features: The spa encompasses the entire fourth floor of the Silver Legacy with an outdoor pool and room inside to service a large number of clientele. We have a total of 12 treatment rooms and 15 service areas, a Salt Inhalation Room (not open at this time), full-service hair and nail salon, as well as fitness areas featuring both cardio and strength training rooms. We also have a Spa Café complete with a full bar and delicious food.

Current Safety Procedures & Protocols: The spa is open with a modified work force and work week. We have gone to 4-10 hour days open from Thursday – Sunday. In regards to new protocols, we have developed what are best practice protocols for each service, overall spa experience and specific duties. This initiative has taken the forefront for us in regards to the safety and care of our guests and team members.
We have taken best practices, gathered from large organizations not necessarily other spas, and put them to use in The Spa at Silver Legacy. One good example was to develop a floor plan that is posted for all to see. This provides consistency in keeping with our social distancing. Also, we have started using, as did the entire resort, an electrostatic sprayer to disinfect and effectively eliminate a large portion of viruses and bacteria that we encounter. We have written very specific protocols in regards to how all aspects of the spa are presented to our guests. Team members take the initiative to keep the area clean and also remind guests of the importance of wearing a mask when in public.
We do not allow anyone to be in the spa without a mask. Temperatures are taken at the front desk of the spa, even if they have had a recent temperature taking. We also have an additional questionnaire that has been added to our existing Guest Intake Form. We truly care for our guests and take every precautionary method to insure their care.

Snacks Served: In compliance with our local and county initiatives we are not serving any food or drinks. That taken into consideration, a guest can still pick up food at The Spa Café and Bar. The Bar is a full-service bar. While visiting, the spa guest is able to use the pool and can book a cabana for half-day or a full day, and enjoy food and beverage in that area.
Insider’s favorite: My favorite is probably the Platinum Hydrafacial. It cleans and courses the skin, ridding it of the dry cells and pollution that we receive day-to-day just by merely existing. You’ll get very clean and long-lasting results for tightening and brightening of the face.
Spurge Treatment: The most luxurious of treatments is going to be put together by a well-versed and professional Spa Concierge. The Concierge assesses the situation of each person and tailors their visit to meet their needs. The technicians then take it to another level with tips and tricks for maintaining the healthy glow and an amazingly relaxing experience. We want them to remember all that occurred in their visit so they can choose to take a few minutes when they need it and reflect on that very same feeling. When you have memories that are worth repeating, you can do so easily in-between your services.
